Isn't it just great to see the FFSA are really going out their way to show change.

Does it matter if they do or don't?
I would rather be a parent whom cares rather than one who could give a toss. Maybe the parent does it for the kid, maybe the parent knows FFSA won't do it, if no one cared there would not be a forum.

Re: Results Round 2 - 3 April
if you or you kid is chasing up results in under 12 or any junior age group then they're playing for all the wrong reasons.
development not results should count.
no doubt this type of post has been done to death on here over the years. clearly parents/kids don't get it.

Re: Results Round 2 - 3 April
Seems that some think that publishing scores and ladders shows that they care. Being at the game, supporting the players and taking them to their game and to senior games isn't enough.Zeljko Jurin wrote:I dont understand why parents come on here and need to know u12, u13 scores etc on a Sunday night ??..............

Watched part of a junior game on the weekend, the parents were so obsessed about winning everyone forgot that the game is for the kids, and not for them.

Re: Results Round 2 - 3 April
Yes, you're right. The game should be for the kids and solely about developing them for senior football, but what's wrong with wanting to know a few scores from around the place?

My main issue is with the younger age groups........
So Spooky, wanting to know an u12/u13 score of ANOTHER TEAM a few hours after they have played means you are a caring parent ??I would rather be a parent whom cares rather than one who could give a toss. Maybe the parent does it for the kid, maybe the parent knows FFSA won't do it, if no one cared there would not be a forum.

Hey Zeljko,
What flying toss does it matter? U/12 U/16 they all have 3 points for a win and 0 for a loss this is a results forum where results are listed and asked about, go harass the person who started this thread Sunday afternoon, Don't pick and choose.

Thats a full of (edit) comment re playing for all the wrong reasons
Of course those ages are about development in fact I believe 12's 13's 14's maybe higher should not be locked into set playing positions just to get a result on the day or for the season as far as tables go - for the very reason is that it should be about development and kids develope differently and at different rates I would much rather my son learn develop and improve than any result.
To be quite honest I take an interest in all circumstances concerning my sons. Although they have played in for points competitions before it is the first for my oldest with his club. Truth be known they play because they love to do so and would play whether there were points or not. My son has not asked for any results and really wouldnt care too much but being in a new environment where it feels more like 'the big boys' in their minds I was just interested to know... so there the old obsessed has been/never was parent living though their kids ego trip for you
Have to say did feel a little uncomfortable and a bit of a (edit) when I posted the results query
Ps by the way Zeljko I posted this this morning not last night and actually had my two straight scotches last night so no need to have any now

I'm not a parent full stop. But I do care! Care about development, but I do have a junior section to fill in the program and wanted to include some results, that's all.Zeljko Jurin wrote:So you're not a caring parent then............. :?Bomber wrote:I just want all junior scores so I can put in this week's match day program. Hello - it's the "information age".
Lot's a parents frustrated because their kids have had a postponement and a bye, and the kids want to know how the opposition is travelling when they finally get to kick a ball this year in round 3 ('cause they know somebody is playing, just not them).

Re: Results Round 2 - 3 April
So if its all about development and not results why do clubs hold trials every year to get rid of weaker players and boost there squads.
Who will be the first team to pick 15 kids at under 12's level (For an example) and take the for the next 4 or 5 years, thats development.
Citi or Zeljko got any comments? Especially from your respective clubs?
