Villa v Jets I expect Jets to be the suprise packet. Draw
Sturt v Bosa Sturt have no quality.Bosa do. Bosa easy 4 or 5 nil
Wanderers v Iggies Wanderers to not fall in a heap as every one thinks. Wanderers
Stirling v St Peters Hard to win up there although Stirling are not as good as a few years ago. Draw
Sals Villa v Allstars Allstars relegation favorites. Sals Villa

Adelaide Villa V Modbury Jets - VILLA (starting to hit their stride)
Sturt Marion V Bosa - BOSA (have smashed them in just about every encounter i can remember)
Adelaide Wanderers V Old Ignatian - Draw (lots of talk of a lot of Wanderers gone wandering, but so was the talk this time last year.....Igies an unknown package, good test for them first up against a consistent performer of the last 5 years)
Stirling V St Peter's - Stirling (great finish to last year need to get their act together early to stay competitIve)
Salisbury Villa V Allstars - S VILLA (To inconsistent in their first year but i'd expect they'd picked up a few to bolster a reasonable squad last year, as for Allstars..would not have a clue..so Villa at home and on experience)

GO YOU GREEN AND GOLD......... :D

Adelaide Villa V Modbury Jets - Adelaide Villa - D. Musci has finally started scoring
Sturt Marion V BOSA - BOSA - would be a pretty big upset if they didn't
Adelaide Wanderers V Old Ignatian - Old Ignatian - apparently very good
Stirling V St Peter's - St Peter's
Salisbury Villa V Allstars - Salisbury Villa

Adelaide Villa - the bench mark.
Bosa - you have to go with them. Not sure if there squad has changed much.
Draw - Iggies to have a good year but don't think wanderers will be as bad as a lot of people think.
St Peters - very tough game to pick. Heard saints have picked up a few.
Salisbury Villa - should be a force this year. Maybe the team to challenge top 2?

FINALLY, the REAL football is back. The excitement and the misery, the chills the thrills, the cheap beers, food and plenty of charachters at the game; A reason we love our amateur football. Amateur football is back, and havent we missed it!!!

neways, week 1

AV V Jets
AV slow starters, Jets itching to topple the league champions last year. Will be a great game, expecting a close one, maybe a single goal to decide it. Musci hitting his straps, finally
AV win - JUST!

Sturt - BOSA
BOSA are a great side, with plenty of talent. Easily should account for a Sturt team whom have lost a few players. BOSA to finish top 2
BOSA

Wanderers V OISC
Wanderers every year are said to have lost this and that. They like Villa start slow, but always get the job done. OISC, newcombers could find it hard in the Premier league
DRAW

Stirling V Saints
Stirling should be no match for the New Saints. They have picked up a few players, from Uni etc, and should have no probes winning
SAINTS

Salis Villa V Allstars
Salis Villa, have picked up a few players, namely Ang Costanzo??Not much has been said about this team, they have gone and done their biz nicely. Allstars, may be early relegation favourites, Villa to dominate and win comfortably.
SALIS VILLA

above all, welcome back Amateur Football
Good luck to all teams, this year

If Salisbury Villa can keep Ange on the pitch for as long as possible they'll mount a serious challenge towards BOSA & A Villa.

I'll go with;

AVilla
BOSA
Iggies
Stirling
S Villa

Olly headed back after being relegated with Uni? did the saints welcome back the other lads that went to uni with him?

That's pretty ambitious. I think we'll be happy just to maintain our Division One status in 2012. Anything higher than 8th is a bonus.

Olly took last year off, he didn't go to Uni. Of course the other players were welcome back, what sort of club wouldn't welcome past players back? This is only amateurs after all.

If you can keep the majority of last year's squad together I think that goal should be acheived.

I think it will be the first time that our A Grade has ever played Adelaide Villa? Unless there was a Cup match in the nether years.

Adelaide Wanderers V Old Ignatian - WANDERERS
Stirling V St Peter's - STIRLING (Stirling had a very disrupted preseason, Saints should romp it home, but I've got to go for the upset)

Adealide Villa V Modbury Jets - VILLA (Villa never play well early but all reports say they deserved to win against Parafield).
Sturt Marion V Bosa - DRAW (Two good teams cancel each other out)
Adelaide Wanderers V Old Ignatian - DRAW (Not a lot happening here)
Stirling V St Peter's - SAINTS (Not sure about Stirling this year. Good conditions round one you would think Saints by a few).
Salisbury Villa V Allstars - VILLA (Allstars don't travel well!!!!!!!!!)

Somebody one asked if I could spare some change for gas, I could really get away from this place.
I said yep, what a concept! I could use a little fuel myself and we could all use a little change.
