Yeah totally agree Jogger some of these sides like Downs & Gardens surely can't keep everyone happy with the number of first team players around the club...busy times ahead.

Going to be very interesting come round 3 or 4 when players who want to play first team are struggling to earn themselves a spot. Is there a cut off date where players can move to another club after registering?

Yes Westies played well very yday i thought they handled the downs they had plenty of run...

Nathan Day showed his quality at times & McKenna looked solid in midfield for the Downs.

Westies had a very good GK he will be difficult to beat...

Who was it? The keeper they were using in the Mayor's Cup was quality but he has gone to the Jets. He had a great game against us on Saturday.

Not sure mate i only really noticed 1 of the PHW players in the A's & thats the guy that has always played at the back for them the rest all looked quite young.

There keeper is quite tall but he grabbed everything even the goal Downs got was a good save from a shot from Day then someone just finished it off from a few yards out...

Considering vista picked up Andy Carmen this year I'd be surprised if they went after a second keeper.

I am now sighed and currently happy at jets, by decision to play with them was heavily based on my SARC Racing Commitments with 6 races falling on Sundays throughout the year and would have resulted in missing games and or championship racing rounds. I hope there is no bad blood between me and westies as I certainly owe them and brad a huge thanks for giving me a chance to get exposure and experience within the amateur ranks and wish them all the best for the 2011 season and I believe they have a squad that can regain division 1 playing rights and healthy goalkeeping ranks down there also. I will definitely be down to watch throughout the season!
