Didn't see 1st team game but Metro played attractive football in Reserves but did have a couple of Prem players for part of game. City Reserves young and at times played some quality football too. City 5 or 6 to Metro 1 I think.
Prems 4:1 to City something like that
That's not what I was told...
I thought Metro won the Reserves game easily? Actually, I'm quite sure of it

Quite right ET
What was I thinking! Scores wrong way round
Yes Metro won Reserves easily
Metro 5 or 6 to City 1
Prems result correct I believe though
Metro vs City (Div 1, Reserves & Prems - Played last Sunday)
Div 1 Score - Metro 1 vs City 1
- Well played game by both teams with some great movement of play. Score was fair and reflected the game well. Good things to come this season from both teams. Metro have picked up new GK (Ex-Campbelltown?) who made some great saves and kept Metro in the game.
Reserves Score - Metro 5 vs City 1
- Dominated by Metro through its entirety. A very young and new City team and Metro with at least 2+ prems players it wasn't hard to see why Metro dominated. City failed to combine as a team unit and also didn't have their goal keepers (work committments). City was down to 10 players by half time and finished the game with only 8 on the field. Regardless of this Metro were strong on the ball espec. in midfield and up front. Defence looks shaky but nothing that can't be worked on.
Premss Score - Metro 1 vs City 4 or 5???
- Didnt see the game in full so cannot comment however very wet and slick conditions so it would have been tough one to play. Also unsure of final score.

well that doesnt surprise me.
I didn't see first game nor Prems but Reserves was played in good spirit I thought. If anything I thought the Metro GK who went down in the first few minutes and unable to take any further part in the game was unfortunate with collision but every thing seemed ok.
Didn't hear the City coach moaning about any poor play from Metro

I don't think anyone was implying that they were playing in poor form.
From what I have seen and heard there are both City and Metro players that have come out worse for wear - Some unfortunate injuries that come from playing the game where as other injuries were from reckless and inappropriate tackles.
Not nice to hear regardless since we are only just starting the season and players at this senior level (Div 1, Res & Prems) should know better!
Hope for everyone to have a safe and injury-free season
