Riverland Select XI 1 - 3 Adelaide Pumas
Renmark 2-1 Adelaide Pumas Reserves

First hit out for pumas... was quite suprised at how well we played in the A's Pushed the ball around nicely...Hopefully looking towards promotion if not winning the league!

I heard there was a bit of an exodus from pumas this year? Picked up some recruits then?

How are the four boys from FC Adelaide going this year?
Frank is a hit with the boys, Jim also. Jim is still going strong on the pitch.

Not sure which four boys you're referring to, but everyone in A's, B's and C's are working hard and progressing well :)

Para Hills won both their games without oisc scoring. I think PHE A's was 4-0.

I believe polonia won their "A" grade game but oisc won their "B" grade game.

Anyone from West Beach or Maco confirm what happened at their trail game.

I was told that cones where placed where the cricket pitch is and when the ball was played in there the ref stopped the game and did a drop ball?

Not sure if its true but why would you play the game if thats the case.

Yeah... bit of a farce. The Coach was told it was a near the sideline and wasn't too big. It was right in the middle and about 40yds by 20yds. One of the most bizarre games I have played in ;-)

Lads had come along way so A's/B's/C's games so it was decided to play any way..so it wasn't a complete waste of time. At the start of the B's game , the ref said only one player was allowed on, then 30 mins on it was a drop ball, if the ball landed in it or a free kick if a player walked on it..Ref did his best but kept changing the rule . Leaving Players getting pissed. The A's game was called off at the start of the second half, a bit of handbags from Maso player.. West Beach coach had enough of playing on the pitch as well...

Beach diller your full of it !

I spoke to your coach he was fully aware of the pitch size 10m by 20m, he was fine with that. Yes sorry ref kept changing rules as he saw fit, our boys got upset with that too. No hand bags were thrown, your team walked before getting beat by a div 2 side, remember we were awarded a penalty when your coach decided to walk, so 1-1 the game ended, penalty not taken.

mate it is a trial game. If a fight breaks out and the game is a joke already I'd walk off too. Trial game held last night at the farm.
A. Ingle Farm 1-1 St Peters
B. Ingle Farm 0-2 St Peters
Bloody cold night to be watching soccer. Better get use to it I guess.

Really, so a player didn't throw a couple of punches when on the ground after the peno was rewarded?? Then the ref reversed the penalty decision and wanted to send a player off for 5 mins.. I must have been watching a different game.. ;-)

If you spoke to Josh, then you most probably spoke to me as well. I am the West Beach B's Coach. There was a long way to go in the game and i will admit Maso were playing some good stuff. I think your number 7 was very sharp and you had a very good defender as well.. All three games were played in good spirits(apart from that 5 mins in the A's) given the conditions and some bizarre decisions by the ref.

Good luck for the Season..knowing the Footballing Gods , we will probably get you in the Cup!!

Was at the game to see what was probably the strangest spectacle, with a no go zone in he middle of the pitch. West Beach on the back foot when the game was abandoned. Good luck Con and the Masso boys. Thought Beach lacked height all over the park, maybe i'm just used to seeing big Dan lumbering around. I don't like bagging unpaid refs but from where I stood Beach were denied a blatant penalty in the first half. As far as the scuffle that ended the game I've seen worse in retirement home bingo nights. JJ was outstanding in goals for Beach. And yes his mom asked me to say that.

Some of those scuffles get out of control though like when the walker gets thrown.

You don't have to be tall , to be good in the air !! And I am pretty sure Barca lack some height but doesn't seem to trouble them in La Liga or Champions League(Not saying West Beach are in that class) ;-)
