Coady looks the goods. Seem to fall apart at the back after Sama's dismisal. Man Utds keeper had a decent game.Bow Ties Are Cool wrote:I really, really like the look of Coady. We may be about to lose, but he looks great.
Yeah. I know young players are all too often compared to the greatest and end up doing nothing with themselves, but I see a few similarities between the styles of Coady and Gerrard. That's not to say he's going to be anywhere near as good as Gerrard, but there are definitely some similarities in the way that they both play.redders wrote:Coady looks the goods. Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard begins rehabilitation
Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard has started his rehabilitation following surgery on his groin, manager Kenny Dalglish has said.
The 30-year-old England midfielder underwent surgery last week and is expected to be out for about a month.
Dalglish commented: "Steven has had his operation and he feels good - he has started his rehabilitation already."
Gerrard suffered the injury in Liverpool's 1-0 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on 6 February.
He has already missed Liverpool's Europa League defeat by Braga and will be unavailable for the return leg at Anfield on Thursday.
Reports had suggested that Gerrard would be out for four weeks following his operation.
That scenario would see him miss Premier League games against Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion and Manchester City.
Dalglish's best hope will be to have Gerrard available for the season run-in. The Liverpool boss is already without 19-year-old midfielder Jonjo Shelvey, who was ruled out for three months with a knee tendon injury in February.
Gerrard was forced to sit out five games for the Reds at the end of 2010 after tearing a hamstring during England's 2-1 defeat at home by France in November.
The player will also miss England's Euro 2012 qualifier against Wales on 26 March.

I think next season will definitely be Liverpool's year.

It must have been exciting watching them in Europe this season. Their fans have been treated to a feast of goals. King Kenny has really turned things around.Nice One Cyril wrote: Well there's some right tools at Liverpool
As quoted before, woy got to the final. Only bought in 3 players and sold how many???? And yet you continue to blame him for the fat waiters uselessness. Even Inter were sittin 8th when they sacked him. Where are Inter in the serie a table after he left............El Diego wrote:liverpool will do much beta next season, and clinch 4th spot!
this year is more of adapting to King Kenny after Woy's dissapointing appointment!

impact player off the bench?Alberto Aquilani looks set for a Liverpool return at the end of the season as Juventus appear reluctant on paying €15 million to keep him permanently.
The 26-year-old Italian midfielder joined the Bianconeri on loan in the summer with the Turin-based club having an option to buy him permanently at the end of their deal with Liverpool in June.
However, Sky Sport Italia reports directors at Vinovo are not intent on paying the Reds €15m price tag.
They are hoping Liverpool lower their demands, and, if that doesn’t happen, the former Roma man will head back to Anfield.
Meanwhile, Ilsussidiario.net reports Juventus as having offered Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo, whose contract expires at the end of the season, a three-year deal in preparation for Aquilani’s exit.
Pirlo, 31, is said to have received a pay offer worth €3.5m per annum from the Old Lady, but Carlo Ancelotti’s Chelsea are also believed to be in the frame as his deal with the Rossoneri expires in June.?
Many sources claim that Alberto Aquilani is not too keen on coming back to Merseyside but it seems his time at Juventus will come to an end this summer as the Turin side refuse to pay the £13m that Liverpool are demanding, a fee that seems more than appropriate given the successful stint the Italian has put in at the Serie A side this season.
However maybe the Italian will look at the way Liverpool have seemingly overcome problems from the tail end of the Rafa Benitez era and the brief period that Roy Hodgson was running things and he may well still have a part to play at the club.
One would wonder just how the 26 year old Italian international would fit into the starting eleven, not least because Lucas, Steven Gerrard and Raul Meireles are all much improved since the turn of the year. There may be other offers from Italy but the Anfield side will not look to sell a player of Aquilani’s quality on the cheap.

Let's hope that groin is ok... What a goal though. Carroll and Suarez partnership looks really promising.Bow Ties Are Cool wrote:Luis Suarez is magic.

On a side note, thought Jay Spearing had his best game for the club. What a difference Agger makes to the back four.

Like without Carroll as if Carragher didn't need a fresh excuse to ping it long.......![]()

Agreed, not just because he played a hand in winning the penalty but his game in the second half in particular was much better. Carroll looked good considering his lack of game time in recent months. Suarez is just a freak.redders wrote:Let's hope that groin is ok... What a goal though. Carroll and Suarez partnership looks really promising.Bow Ties Are Cool wrote:Luis Suarez is magic.
