I know. Myself, I like the place, but tourism for Dubrovnik fell after the aussie girl was murdered. Maybe this was only bought to light due to the fact she was Australian....

Now this is total, not just Aussies............

Overall figures for the year 2010 show an increase of 3% in the number of arrivals to Croatia, as well as an increase of 6% in overnight stays. (Numbers are compared to 2009′s figures.) This equates to 8.2 million tourist arrivals so far this year, and 51.7 million overnight stays.

All of the Adriatic counties have recorded increases in the number of overnight stays this year, between 4% and 12%. Dubrovnik-Neretva county has been the most successful, recording an increase of 12%.

Found it, Aussies look fine actually !!!

Dubrovnik, meanwhile, achieved 1.6 million overnight stays from the beginning of the year to 26th August, which is 12% greater than last year, whilst this statistic for the month of August could be between 10-15% higher than 2009. There’s an interesting increase in visitors from Spain (up 25%), Australia (35%) and Russia (30%), with 300% more visitors from Turkey and Greece – though, of course, visitors from these countries are still comparatively low in number.

So without us and the Turks, youd be in trouble hey??? Did you notice that your slav cousins the Bosnians and the FYROMians didnt rate a mention or you for that matter???

Lucky for your Orthodox neighbours and your Muslim brothers hey???

Or could it be it means that a 300% increase form Greece and Turkey really is saying that last year 1 Greek and 1 Turk went and this year 4 Greeks and 4 Turks went??? Maybe something to do with Government officials visiting, do they count???

Did you also notice how flares brighten up a place and bring a little atmosphere to it, you described i think as "unbelievable" yes???

For a person who is proud of a Croatian cities celebrations with flares, you certainly havent weighed into the hot debate on another forum regarding flares, wonder why that is??? Cant handle the criticism ay Zeljks??? Start acting like a man and not a ballerina. Make your stance known on the issue as you have in this forum

Ive never needed anyone else before and i certainly dont need a ballerina of all people this time around. Was just making the point how quick he was to start a topic regarding the "unbelievable" and great sight flares can bring to a place but his only input into the flares topic on another forum was to bag myself. The Hypocrisy can be smelt from a mile away

Flares are dangerous if used incorrectly (eg) thrown

If used correctly, just like circular saws, welders, fireworks, nail guns, angle grinders......they are ok imo

But, they are against the law in Australia also........

See, didnt have to dribble on for 20+ lines in 5 different threads, and look like a total knobhead......simple
