FA Cup 4th Round Jan 29-31

Post by Chaos »

With Arsenal beating Leeds this morning, this is how the 4th round looks.

Torquay Utd v Crawley Town
Watford v Brighton & Hove Albion
Bolton Wanderers v Wigan Athletic
Arsenal v Huddersfield Town
Fulham v Tottenham Hotspur
Southampton v Manchester Utd
Swansea City v Leyton Orient
Burnley v Burton Albion
Birmingham City v Coventry City
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Stoke City
Notts County v Manchester City
Stevenage v Reading
Aston Villa v Blackburn Rovers
West Ham Utd v Nottingham Forest
Sheffield Wednesday v Hereford Utd

No real "big clashes" there but no doubt a surprise or two will pop up.

I believe we are to strong a side for Fulham. Therefore if we pile on the pressure, the man will crack.

What about Everton V Cheslki @ Goodison?
Dixie Dean was hailed by another Mersey legend, Liverpool’s Bill Shankly, as “belonging in the company of the supremely great, like Beethoven, Rembrandt and Shakespeare.”

60 goals, never to be equalled.

Huddersfield used to be such a mighty club (three championships in a row in the 1920's) that Arsenal had to poach their manager!

But yes. Played poorly, didn't look like getting into the game at all. Fair play to Fulham.

My mate is a Fulham STH and he was there. Texted me gloating this morning - Wanker.

But he did say, two mistakes by Daws led to two pens and his sending off. Game was effectively over after 15 mins.

Daws has been good since his comeback so just have to accept he had a bad day and move on.
"The game is about glory, doing things in style and with a flourish, going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom."
Danny Blanchflower
