I say move with the times.....and SAWFA should be the way to go...WFFSA is to long, FWSA has no ring to it and sounds awkward, and yeah the last one..i dunno, but i like SAWFA, so it still keeps the original name just change to football..

Sounds good courtz, but SAWSA isnt a federation is it? It is part of the FFSA. So maybe leave it as Association. Well thats my two bob's worth!

Shorty, i just felt like making a topic to discuss!

But soon they will be forced to change, due to they are part of the FFA, and every state except NSW has changed their name to Football, under FFA Guidelines.

NSW i beleive will do so in 2007 to because Football Federation of NSW.

i dont think it will attract more playaz is basically what i was getting at... and i also said it in an earlier post that theres only one football in australia...
if soccer in australia wants to grow they have to teach the soccerroos some heart first because out of how many games has harry kewell actually played... what, about 3 or 4.. for a playa of his skill level he should be playin every game for the green n gold a lot of kids wld wanna play for their country and he acts as if its just a flip of tha coin.. there was no way that he was injured all those times... seriously
where paying for him to play when he eitha doesnt play or he plays half hearted....

spo instead of tha fed worrying about tha name they shld be worrying about the playaz...

Umm maybe its NOT called american football because it is a TOTALLY different sport? der....Real football is always going to be the round ball game. AFL just adopted the name. And soccer is now called football in australia anyways, so ppl who agree or disagree, just get over it...FOOTBALL FEDERATION AUSTRALIA......FOOTBALL FEDERATION of SOUTH AUSTRALIA....makes sense to change the womens from soccer to football.

if it is annoying KG and Cornsey and anybody else for that matter... then Football is what i will call it... the debate is good as it further promotes the sport and shows the sport to be determined to meet the competition head on!
