FULHAM UNITED COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT

Post by bigpond »

I am pleased to announce that Nenita Burgess and Chris DeBonno have been selected as joint coaches for the 2011 season.

Nenita will still be playing in the 2011 season.

Congratulations guys.

why do you say that?

Nenita is keen to get into coaching and is widely respected and by still playing will need a joint coach to see things from the outside.

We see it as a re-building season and are not expecting them to go and win a title straight away - simply consolidate and begin to put there own mark on the team.

Lets just wait until the season finishes before any judgement is made.

Still hoping that Fulham's new coaching team will steady the ship and signal a new era in coaching at the club.

Good luck Neits and Chris and co.

El Soldado - i think Nenita will do better than most 'experienced' coaches anyhow.

To lose 3-1 to the reigning premier with a young squad isn't such a bad result especially with the amount of ins and outs that occured over the pre season

Obviously El Soldado has not bothered to check Nenita's coaching credentials nor her playing experience under numerous coaches here and overseas. Will she make the grade as a coach in her own right? Only time will tell. Yes Neits, Chris and MJ face a big challenge along with a very young squad of inexperienced players. Are they up for it? We will all see down the track.
People should focus elsewhere and let the girls and Chris get on with the job at hand.

That is my two bobs worth.

excuse my ignorance, but I dont see where El Soldado has said anything bad about Neits etc and the coaching appointment.

All He said ws, he is surprised Fulham didnt chose a more experienced coach.

Thats his opinion, this is a forum?????

He said "Saw them in the charity cup and didn't impress me at all. Good luck to those involved down there" - how is that not saying something bad?

"Not at all, dont know either of them bar having seen Nenita play". ............
Yes this is a forum. And I pointed out that one should check Nenita's credentials before using the term "inexperienced", Fulham would be very aware of all this and appointed her. Which would have been a decision not taken lightly.
Now it is about developing young players and to perform consistently. No need for further comment at this time.
Judge further down the track. Many of her past and retired teamates over the past 10 years are not surprised by Nenita's appointment. Both here and overseas.
So we have a club with a young coach and staff and young players. A breath of fresh air. Go for it.

glad to see a sensible post written i agree and i don't know her credentials because as i said i've only seen her play nothing more. She has a young side who if willing to learn and are well coached will be on the improve.
