Our AGM was as per usual, me waffling on with people taking the piss out of me

Just the usual really, people got elected/Re-elected, few drinks and jokes were had and as happens at all clubs where members are passionate and vocal about the team they love, a few disagreements occurred. Just a normal Sunday down at The Downs....

Quality box to box midfielder, Ive said he has been a big miss for the Downs! When they had Blacky, Kells & Hughsy running the middle of the park they were strong. Played against him about a month ago in the comets 7 aside, he looked fit and like he hadnt been out of the game. He said he was keen to get back into it so great return/pick up for the Downs IMO

Spoke to Blacky a few weeks ago and he said he has actually been having a run with his Brother (I think) for a sat team for most of the last season. Is looking very fit and an looking forward to getting back into it. Im looking forward to seeing him back in a downs shirt!!!

i wouldn't really call it 'training'... just a kick around and chance for the new coach to have a look at what he has to work with.... we've been getting a decent turn out for this time of year though!

Outside of Westers getting the job at the Vale, its pretty quite there. Florina will lose a couple for obvious reasons but Manca will bring a few extra to the club.

I've only read the one rumour that we signed two Downs players, which is incorrect.

Downs are rumoured to have recruited a few new people and some have returned whilst Gardens appear to have 3-4 new players with no one set to leave.

Pontians will snag Mallia from what I'm told and have a couple of other decent players turning up.

The Saggs boys were at Easties together last season and Aitken was playing O35's for Easties last year.

As long as Beach stay up I'll be happy as they are 5 mins away from home.

Should be a very interesting season
