If we are the host, could we win it on home soil, being seeded as a host nation.....Thoughts!!!

of course i think we can. if the development of our players continues exponentially as it is at the moment theres no reason why we cant do it.

dont see why not. Most teams would have had a really long trip over here which could slightly work in our favour, but they would rock up a couple weeks before hand to adapt.

and if we keep bringing up young guns like Leckie, Oar, Williams...that helps too

12 years away. Could have many in the squad who havent even played senior football yet! Always like to think you'd make the quarters or something though, but just too far away to judge really.

I'm not so sure about Williams.

While I think he's a great player and deserves all the praise he gets with the Fury and in the A-League in general, I don't see him having the potential to get a great deal better. I reckon he's going to stagnate pretty soon. Not one of those "going to be a superstar" players, just one that's a "top player at A-League level."


I'd love to be proven wrong, though. Imagine how many future 2018/22 World Cup stars the Fury might have in their ranks right now.
