great effort by the committee and others to put on a great night. it wouldve taken a lot of time and effort to organise the evening but they came through and made it enjoyable for all that were there.

also, was that the biggest turn out at a presentation night in the clubs history? every year it seems to get bigger and bigger.

I was thinking about retirement this year but it's nights like these which really make you realise why you play amatuer soccer....it definetely isnt for the quality pitches!

I guess that's what happens when you play for a club in which nobody is paid to play, people are there for the people.
My head still hurts!

oh yeah....good to hear that Jim has signed on to coach again next year. I am sure that the younger guys will take another big step under his guide and hopefully we can get a bit of experience back to give us a good mix.

Are any of our Melbourne representatives thinking of moving back to adelaide?

Unfortunately not just yet but I did play futsal with big JT last night and can confirm that he still has it!

We have a few of those now,
although I am assuming that you are talking about your melbourne comrad.
He played a couple of cameo games for us this year and did really well.
One in particular comes to mind though, we were 0-1 down against Port Pirie at half time, JT came on and we won 7-2.
That was the story of our year this year, we created plenty of opportunities but couldnt put them away and a player like JT was just what the doctor had ordered.
That's not to say that we wouldnt have benefited from the odd cameo by you though sacred.

How quickly we forget... Although I didn't have a chance to play this season, last year I made a cameo appearance that Jimmy will tell his grandchildren about one day.

We were without a win for the whole season so far, and we were playing an undefeated top of the table side (can't remember who).
Down 2-1 with half an hour to go Ang Pezos made the sub the crowd had been pleading for.
Short story even shorter - 1 penalty win/conversion and pin point cross later we won 3-2 - sending the crowd into raptures.

Ring any bells?

I was last year - i had organised it with club members at the beginning of the season as i knew i was coming down to Adelaide many times during the year and I asked to play when possible

JM didn't have much work to do!
That cross was so good that even if he was looking the other direction it would have hit him on the head and gone in

It was without doubt the best cross i've even put into the box, left foot too on the volley

Didn't think I made that much of an impact, captain courageous scored a hat-trick that day to set the boys on their way. I was only too happy to get a run & play my part in getting you boys a win.
Great to hear the presentation night was a success and that Jimmy has signed on again for next year. If everybody sticks together, you'll do a lot better than what you did this year. Jim's a great coach as he knows how to get the boys to play for him.
