Football or family

Post by neilda7531 »

If you are an emerging and aspiring football player and can't balance personal life and your sport, what would you choose, home or game?
Remember that football is your life long dream, but how about your family whose always been there through thick and thin. Any comments guys.

Too many variables............but if your family have been there for you through thick and thin, then surely they would be there for you now if you choose the football path?

Invite them along, can make new friends,or get involved somehow - as long as you support whatever they do as well.

If you're family is loaded, toe the line.
If they're skint, disown them and train your hardest! :P

I don't see how that's possible.

My take is this, my wife once asked me if I'd choose her or football. I told her that I had been playing and watching football since before she was born and football would never give me an ultimatum.

Its cost a few people thier familys as well. When I was younger definetly the football, the club and the partying. Now its definetly the lovely missus legga and the kids, the mates, the partying, the club and then the football. Sometimes when the boys get together we hardly see any football and we are standing behind the bloody goals. I dont think downslow man has see a goal this year. We do want to say sorry to banya for this as we did tell him we love his work on the park... 8) 8)

OK, you see I consider my family to go back generations and generations and therefore pre dates football.

However, a lot of people on here believe football didn't exist before the premier league

I had already lived my "glory days" of football before I hung up the gloves (that I rarely wore) before I started a family (first born when I was 40  ).
Made a comeback (of sorts), after hibernating for 14 years, to inspire my boys to take up the beautiful game.
So for me it was footbal then family then football !

Family has to come first. Everyone would put their kids before playing a game.

Purely based on the question asked, If you cannot balance your football and your personal life as an emerging talent then I don't think you have the capacity to make the decision of Football vs Family on your own and that being that case who would be the right people to ask?? Your.....

Surely if your an emerging talent you wouldn't be writing in the amateur forum, isn't the reason mist people play amateurs so they can balance both
