If we were to lose wouldnt mind a pants down convincing loss to signal the end of uncle woy.
Anything else and it'd be more papering over the cracks.

What's this pooh business? Am I missing something? Other than for children's stories is there any other signifigance?
I'd be more offended being called poo, pooh is just cute.

Re: Liverpool vs Chelsea
i have faith in my team and think at Anfield we can pull it off and take all 3 points. They are playing much more like a team now and even after a bad spell, on the rebound Liverpool can be a dangerous side to come up against. They will really want to prove a point tomorrow night.
COME ON YOU REDS!!!
COME ON YOU REDS!!!

Better manager? Yeh man, that Danish league title and getting the core of the EPL winning Blackburn side relegated really stack up well with a couple of La Liga titles, CL, UEFA Cup and a couple of European Mgr of the year awards. Totally.
1.
Roy, inherited a squad of 13 internationals. Liverpool was the 2nd most represented club at the World Cup (after Barca).
Including, three world class players who would be in any other team's starting XI. Including about a dozen or so youth internationals.
It may not be a top four squad, but it's not a bottom half of the league squad either.
2.
Roy has influenced the squad with his signings and players he released. His signings have been half-hit (Mereles), miss (Kochesky, Cole) and colossal miss (Poulsen). When we were skint in the tfr window he wasted 11m on players with zero resale value in their 30s. He sent away Aquilani who is fit and making a key contribution at Juve, he forced a 21 year old Argentine intl out in favour of his mate Konchesky. He whinged and moaned about only having Ngog as backup for Torres but had the funds available to him for a striker. So he spent most of the transfer window begging West Ham to part with Carlton Cole for around 12m, when they shut the door on him he had no backup signing lined up.
3.
Roy is to blame for the poor style of play and tactics. The back four practically live on the 6 yard box, the defence have been instructed to hoof it clear rather than play the ball out and any striker(s) we play with are rendered useless because they are so isolated. Midfielders generally get tennis neck
4.
He gave 32 year old Jamie Carragher a three year contract extension!
(this deserves a point in itself)
There's more -- his bizarre press conferences; how he calls fringe players the B team; how he wont play Agger cos he doesnt like ball playing defenders; how he took a swipe at Kenny Daglish (death wish); blah blah
Lastly, unless your from planet ignorant you'd know that the easiest excuse a new manager can make to a poor start is to blame the previous mgr. Not to mention, blabbering like this is basically a plea to the board for funds to burn in January. I pray to Jesus, Buddah, Allah and Katy Perry's tits daily that he doesnt get a cent....

Re: Liverpool vs Chelsea
Warning to all Chelsea supporters : Gerrard is back & strutting with his confidence sky high, all Liverpool need now is for somebody (Roy) to instruct Meireles to stop running through Gerrards lines & blocking his space
Re: Liverpool vs Chelsea
snaps to roy, he got it right in the first half.

Ahh, the sound of silence from the Liverpool mud-slingers this morning - almost deafening. Loppermann, how did your lot fare out of interest?

Re: Liverpool vs Chelsea
liverpool too good in the first half, torres what can you say, two touches all game for two goals, he won the game
butttt
that would of been the weakest chelsea linup all season, none of the big guns, Drogba and Essien, you guys had too much time in the midfield and Ramires/Mikel kept burning the ball all night.
it was just not our night, simple as that

Re: Liverpool vs Chelsea
Its amazing when you get Torres with support. Key for Liverpool is to keep Torres fit.

typical Kop, slags the manager off consistently for weeks on end then, one good result, and suddenly he's the next Shanks. The Kop wrote:snaps to roy, he got it right in the first half.

we lost 4-0, but you already knew that... it was 2 days agoBomber wrote:Ahh, the sound of silence from the Liverpool mud-slingers this morning - almost deafening. Loppermann, how did your lot fare out of interest?
aren't you still behind Sunderland? You know only two of their players have scored for them this season? Seem like a pretty easy team to get ahead of...

Re: Liverpool vs Chelsea
We took too long to get into the game,
The game just showed there's a big gap between our world class players and their backups
IE: Essien, Drogba, Lampard compared to Mikel, Ramires, Kalou.
Well done to Liverpool. Mereiles and Kuyt did alot of work that hampered our midfield, and Kelly really stepped up.
For the sake of football, it's good to see Torres in form.
One thing that did make me laugh was Carragher's "distribution" surely he needs to be replaced.. all he does is try to knock the moon out of the sky!
