Re: The Decade just gone
Can you tell me anything about early teams from the Hills? Mt Barker, Lobethal, Bridgewater etc?
I think i'm pretty good with my history of the local junior competition and with senior sides from Woodside -> Stirling to the present day but would love to know a little more about the others prior..
I have seen an old old orange Bridgewater kit from the 70's worn to training once or twice over the years by one of our lads

Might have been similar to the Templin Cup where winners of Divisions play off in a series of games ?Jay Walking wrote:Whats a Divisional Champion??

Adelaide Villa - 2009 Saturday Div 1 Champions and Champion of Champions
This year I've had the honor in being involved with one of the best clubs going around aswell as being part of team that has names like -
Rick Cerrachio
Tony Scalzi
Bill Kara
David Tassone
Marco Scazl
David Tassoti
Rick De Rosa
aswell as many others...
Hence making my decision to retire after 20 years of senior football an easy one, my body can't take any more injuries so it's time "hang up the boots", as they say, and perhaps move into a coaching role.
Thanks for a great year Adelaide Villa and good luck for 2010...

If you look at history and defining moments of a club you must look at the signing of Dario Pesaturo for Adelaide Villa. He was definately the catalyst for the results of the last decade.Jack Mehorf wrote:2003 Sunday Div 3 Champions

Dario brought Derosa to the club. Derosa brought Simmo to the club. Simmo brought no one but took everything. Dario brought Signori to the club. Signori brought Ivanovic, Scott Martin, Tony Vello, Tony Lonardo and the first Championship. Derosa brought Cerracchio. Dario bribed Tony Scalzi. Cerracchio brought Hendersen, Tassone, Paparella, Haralabakis, Sanger and let Dario play a senior game after two great reserve games. That was his last senior game as he said there was too much running in the A team. Dario coached the B team. Dario pioneered the first AV over 35s and maiden championship and never lost a game when Dario Played. Was also Golden boot winner and scored a goal with his right foot. Would have scored more if his team mates werent so selfish!!!
Iam calling for a life size statue of Dario Pesaturo to be carved from stone at the Fitzroy Community Club.

thought it was a game of opinions?
sounds like your no different to me in 2011 LRO?
= spectator
BUT i do respect what you've achieved and added to the game LRO just thought you should have controlled that coaching rage when i saw you this year.you were more controlled at ramsey park.
fishing easy with the gully this pre season LRO, was a good comment on other thread, you should continue coaching as you've got plenty to offer.
