Re: Coaches for 2011
Due to Port Pirie's relegation, Southern Knights have decided there will be no need for a Coach in 2011 (except maybe for long distance Cup ties.)

Since winning the TREBLE & our coach recently returning from overseas we have only just had a chance to meet last night.Kitchimo wrote:Some clubs have it written into their constitution that they have to advertise for coaches annually, don't they? Maybe that is why PG are advertising. You would think a treble-winning coach would surely keep his job....KING NUGGETT wrote:No legga it's just that you finally read something I wrote properly.legga wrote:finally nugget some sense out of the big boofhead. I thought I read on here the Elizabeth Downs policy was that you always advertise for a coach? And risk loosing the Coach you want to keep to another Club???
Don't get me wrong I don't agree with advertising for a coach especially if you have the right Coach or can get him without advertising.
If you don't then yes advertise see what's out there, but if you do why waste everyones time???
I think the Gardens are going to advertise & we did the TREBLE (new policy I think) not sure but I think why bother ???
That's my opinion anyway...
I am happy to say that Steve Cook has been reappointed as coach for 2011

Ross will want him training 3/4 nights a week at West Adelaide, surely the money isn't that good to give up your other two nights and Sunday.

Re: Coaches for 2011
doubt it... Westers as assitant to Chris... would love to see that thought. I'm sure the boys would love to have someone of his qualities to learn from though. I would think Westers would probably want to be a head coach rather than an assistant (especially considering Chris has less coaching experience).haywood djablowme wrote:What about as C.Nicholls assistant Jogger..?jogger wrote:I suspect may coach PHW...!!!Jay Not Walking wrote:Westervelt may end up coaching in the Amateur league again

Awesome news to have Coocky back on board for next year & beyond. He has built a championship squad & a great culture amongst the playing group. He has a huge amount of experience & you couldnt learn from a better player & bloke.
Couple of additions & everybody staying on board so hopefully what he has brought back to the club will continue into the future
