See, now that's a sensible comment. Bomber's lost the plot. I'm off to see what Colossus thinks about it allDan Agger wrote:Embarrassing, regardless of our line-up.

Challenging is all you will be doing - Glazers aren't interested in winning or buying class players as they can't afford to with their interest repayments.Jimbob wrote: You keep holding on to that glimmer of hope that we'll somehow end up as shambolic as that shower of shite while we carry on challenging for silverware season after season.

Like I said, you keep clinging to that hope if it makes you feel better about supporting that joke of a clubHosovac wrote:Challenging is all you will be doing - Glazers aren't interested in winning or buying class players as they can't afford to with their interest repayments.Jimbob wrote: You keep holding on to that glimmer of hope that we'll somehow end up as shambolic as that shower of shite while we carry on challenging for silverware season after season.

To be fair Northampton are quite a decent side and are travelling nicely at 17th in the 4th division. They have a total of two victims for the year so far - Southend and Liverpool. Clearly their manager wanted an easy kill after losses to Shrewsbury and Torquay.

more importantly for Man U, what happens to their bonds when the BOE begin to tighten monetary policy...Hosovac wrote:Challenging is all you will be doing - Glazers aren't interested in winning or buying class players as they can't afford to with their interest repayments.Jimbob wrote: You keep holding on to that glimmer of hope that we'll somehow end up as shambolic as that shower of shite while we carry on challenging for silverware season after season.

Big_Chief wrote:Just because they aren't in the first XI, doesn't mean they aren't first team players. Some of the players that played would probably earn more than the entire Northampton Town team. You're 16th in the league (early doors I know) and just been bundled out of the Carling Cup by a league two side FFS and you couldn't seem to give two hoots. Either you don't care all that much as it isn't Croydon, or you believe that Liverpool will still have a worthwile season and be challenging for Europe. Either way the head in sand comment remains.Bomber wrote:Yes, Liverpool are really escaping derision.Big_Chief wrote:I know who played Bomber and please tell me which of those would not be considered part of the first team squad. United played a similar outfit against Rangers in the CL and were panned for drawing 0-0. Why would Liverpool escape derision and criticism for losing to a league two side? Keep your head buried in the sand mate.
Where is Reina, Carragher, Gerrard, Torres, Skrtel, Johnson, Cole, Raul, Maxi (ok, no biggie there), Poulsen, Konchesky............?? There's eleven = entire team.
I know who has their head buried, not necessarily in sand though.............
fair point but only 4 of those would make a difference , Gerrard Torres Cole Johnson
but then again
Gerrard - fair enough
Torres only if he can stop sulking about not being in Spain ... so not so much atm - sell sell sell while he is still worth something
Cole only if he could play 90 mins... so count him out
Johnson only if can get over his preoccupation with his hair and concentrate on the game.....not gonna happen
so yeh , 1 player missing
the rest would make no great difference at the pointy end and therein lies Liverpool's problems
Re: Let's all laugh at liverpooool
Quite the opposite Jimbo - I hate Liverpool.Jimbob wrote: Like I said, you keep clinging to that hope if it makes you feel better about supporting that joke of a club
But I fear for the future of Man U while the Glazers are in control.
Re: Let's all laugh at liverpooool
Something has to give sooner or later. Glazers are using Man U to keep the rest of their crumbling businesses afloat...no interest in winning trophies, they are happy to finish 3rd in the league each year (qualify for UCL) and buy good young players to flog at huge profits later down the track (see C Ronaldo). The Kop wrote: more importantly for Man U, what happens to their bonds when the BOE begin to tighten monetary policy...
Perfect storm.
Once Fergie retires I see it all falling apart spectacularly.
Re: Let's all laugh at liverpooool
Put it this way: Liverpool have just further proven their lack of depth, which is emphasised even more by the regular XIs recent performances.

Gonna need better bait than that mate. You should look at Loppermans earlier stuff, might learn a thing or two. Ignore the recent stuff though, he seems to have lost it.El Diego wrote:
