Napoli the new Reggina???

Post by The Kop »

***GENERALLY SPEAKING***

Having Italian mates, played with and against people of Italian origin, being a frequent visitor of Rundle St, Norwood and Henley beach.....I noticed the following observation.......

The same Italians that were flaunting Reggina tops round about 2003 when Reggina were promoted, seem to be the same ones now saying Napoli this Napoli that now that they are on the verge of serie A.

Respect to those who were diehard when they were in Serie C1 and B all those years before that.

hmmm if they are the same people, they must be half casts... because generally speaking Naps and Calo's lets just say dnt really like each other and therefore if a calo was out wearing Napoli colours, I wouldnt consider them calo any more!

Well Im one of those ones who was there watching with my gut wrenched when we lost to the Snot Machine Avellino in the pay off two years ago, so Im not a fairweather supporter but there would be a few around.

Ill be there next season whether or not we go up or down.

I think they may be different people Kop, as Lefty has explained. I wouldn't be caught dead supporting Reggina, let alone wearing a top.

Also, Calo's become Juve supporters when the going gets tough for Reggina!

Ahh i see.

So the theory changes, all the Reggina heads have gone into hibernation and all the Napolitans are just coming to the surface.

Riseing from the dead they are, but we do see the odd Nap top at training. Gino mainly, but even he plays in a Juve strip.

I saw the best car in Calabria a few months ago. Nice black and white stripes all over and a Juve logo on the bonnet. Top car I must say!

Reggina are my only team in serie a, I have soft spots for sides I liked before Reggina, but no matter what now I am Reggina, and when Reggina got relegated I didn't care about the seria a, I followed the serie b, and would again. I can't see why any Reggina supporters would be in hibernation when u consider Reggina have not been relegated since 2001 when they came straight back up. And Reggina against all the odds are fighting back from a minus 15 point defecit to be a chance to avoid relegation this season. The hatred and arrogance Naps show at Reggina, most my mates laugh at em (but where has Napoli been???) shows that reggina supporters would not be whering Napoli tops and in truth in 2001 both sides were in serie a and they each had a victory against each other, this was 5 or 6 years ago so I doubt they are the same people, maybe it is the Napoli fans coming out as Reggina fans have never had to shy away as we have been in serie a last 7 out of 8 seasons.

In Pescara.

I landed in Italy on the 30th of July, so it was still big, everyone was still on cloud nine. Flags were eveywhere. Was a great atmosphere. I guess I picked a great time to go to Italy :D

i am of calabrian heritage and i couldnt really care less what reggina do...

people say.. your not a true supporter why dont u supoprt your heritage..

well you see, if u go 2 calabria u will realise alot of people support milan , juve or sum other team..

Napoli is alot bigger and historically more successful.. so it is easier to realise why so many naps follow napoli... unfortunately for them the city of napoli is shit... as is their football club.

but i should mention that reggina is doing well.. and if they can survive serie A this year.. they will be regarded as heroes..gd luck 2 them

I hate Napoli (the club) and the city in general.. but i hope they get bak up... the serie a needs them.

and if any ones takes offence to this post.. maybe u should contact SA police.. they can deal with it. yeah thats right Napoli10..

Im 'calo'.. & i hate juve with a passion.

I would also like 2 add this whole topic is stupid... (sorry Kop)
The smog level in Milan shot up by 200% on April 22, as millions of dusty Nerazzurri flags were taken out of the closet and waved wildly.

I Have been a NAPOLI supporter since I could Kick a ball. When Maradonna joined the azzurri, it just made me more in love with the team and the city. My father is from Salerno and I bleed Napolitano blood.

U have ur die hard Napoli fans, but some people have Napoli as their second team cos they have a soft spot for em. And the Serie A needs Napoli in the Serie A, with a home crowd over 50,000 at MOST home games.

FORZA NAPOLI.

if your offended by me calling you 'calo', then call the SA police...

i dnt think it matters who you go for, heritage or not, as long as you stick by your club IMO, no one likes to be a plastic supporter like all Chelski supporters
