Not sure where this working in the mornings thing came from but it sounds false. They've made all their away games (11.30) this season, and at their ground the games are 3pm because of juniors as has been mentioned many times already.mondy wrote:The club was not informed of the start time full stop.Bodø Glimt wrote:I agree with all of this, hence the question if the SAASL would consider the reason to be sufficient to postpone a game.onthemound wrote:Am I missing something here? I could be wrong so please correct me if I am. At the start of the season the SAASL agreed that Torrens Valley were to play their home fixtures at 3.00pm. Torrens Valley don't finalise the times, the SAASL do. Therefore, each team in div.6 when playing away to Trrens Valley are to kick off at 3.00pm. I disagree with them being allowed a 3.00pm kick off but that's not the point. The point is that if the MA Hawks can't get a team together to play Torrens Valley at Torrens Valley at 3.00pm, then surely the Hawks should be made to forfeit.
We wrote to the League and even offered our ground with no reply.
We are very happy to play TV at their ground for the catch up game but at 11.30am.
If the Hawks are to lose their points then the league has something to answer to when TV give us an excuse of "working in the mornings" as the reason they can't play in the morning...excuse me, what happens to their away games?
But, end of the day, TV should win the league as Iggies dropped points on the weekend...unless Comets beat them on their catch up game then the title is theirs...
Interesting situation as they are obviously good enough to play at in a higher division yet can't (no reserves), so end up stuffing things around in div 6 (no disrespect to TV - it's just what has happened),
