Re: Parafield Gardens vs Ingle Farm
I remember reading an article in one of my dad's soccer newspapers, when they use to do write ups on the SAASL. It was in 1974 and West Germany had just beaten Holland in the final, and the article allegedly said,on the morning after the final, there was a kindoff damaged TV on the front lawn of Mr JM's house, and he was on the league's disciplinary committee ? Hey, we are all human, and all very passionate supporters.dj_no.1 wrote:rosey will be in his element! ill be down for the game. CARN UUUUU GARDENS!lefty wrote:Adelaide United FC Head Coach and Dutchman Rini Coolen will be a special guest at the Parafield Gardens and Ingle Farm SAASL Premier League match this Sunday afternoon (September 5) 3pm as the Parafield Gardens Sports and Soccer Club celebrates and recognises its Dutch heritage.
The Reds boss, who will have just returned from trying to mastermind an Adelaide United win over Sydney FC, will take part in the after match presentation and be introduced to the local Dutch community from the neighbouring Dutch Community Club.
Coolen’s attendance will complement a day which will see Parafield Gardens wear the 2010 Dutch World Cup strip during the warm up as acknowledgement of the Dutch migrants that established the highly successful Parafield Gardens Sports and Soccer Club in 1966.
Two of the club's founders Ferdie Pitt & Joe Meuris continue to support Parafield Gardens at each game, and on Sunday they will be hoping to not only celebrate the club’s heritage but also to be crowned Sunday League Premier League champions. Parafield Gardens currently sit top by 2 points over Salisbury Florina with one round to play.
GO U GARDENS
Good luck to all teams,it's this sort of competition that makes it worth while everyweek.

Re: Parafield Gardens vs Ingle Farm
Great crowd that came down to watch this game considering the weather & that it was fathers day. Even tough we were 3 nil up at half time Farm took it to us but 2 great goals by Fred & Leckie sealed the win & championship.
Fantastic to see Rini & Serg with his family coming to watch amateur soccer they enjoyed being part of the day & Rini even hung around to be part of our after match presentation & gave us an Adelaide United fusball table for winning the league. Great also having F Pitt give the boys a bit of a chat before the game in the changerooms.
And I reckon we must be one of the most multi cultural teams in the league.
Special thankyou to Simmo for his kind gesture after the game.
