Our C Grade have made Div 4A alot more interesting after losing today!!

Also thanks Vipers for knocking off the rocking horses!!! I wonder if the SAASL will make them play all those catchup fixtures?

BOSA 3 - Stirling 0 (1-1)

Bizarre abandonment of the game by the referee for a bit of verbal abuse by the Stirling coach.

B's result has probably cost us the league.

Not only did the mighty MA HAWKERS taught the comets a lesson in football but FC went down in the division they belong in.

What a great day :D

CJB and Kati will be doing a tsamiko tonight.

Adel Cougars 2 Navarino 0 (a)
Adel Cougars 0 Navarino 3 (b)

Congratulations to my boys on a great performance today. Looks like we are staying in division 2 unless something drastic happens. With a really depleted team (only 11 from about 18 first team players to pick from), we done well to get the result we set out to achieve. Looking to end the season on a high next week against the Comets. GO COUGARS!!!!

PS- El Diego, watch out.... negotiations will be starting soon..... love to see Dids in a Cougar kit next year... His family might disown him  and well done to Ad Villa on retaining their title as the strongest side going around in the Sat league.... well done Mehorf and co. :D

Hey i'm about to go out and don't have the time to do the Maths (actually calculator isn't working and neither is my mind) but can anyone work out based on todays results who is still in line for relegation? I'm guessing FC Adel, Gleeson,(game in hand) Sthn Breakers and Cougars could all still be relegated. Can Navarino still mathematically finish bottom two?
Thanks in advance for anyone who has got the time, and a degree!

By the way, congrats to All Stars for gaining promotion back to div.1 after the Hawks beat Comets.

Mathematically Navarino can go down, but it looks very unllikely. FCA could survive too but very unlikely. Gleeson and Southern Breakers lock horns next week. Gleeson have a game in hand against Comets although I am not sure when this is being played.

Navarino can not go down as Breakers play Gleeson next Saturday... one or both has to drop points. Goal difference is playing a big factor in this relegation battle. We look safe as well but will be looking at finishing the season on a high against the Comets next Saturday.
PS Evergreen- some of those goals for and against are incorrect.

MA Hawks should be 32 f 18 a 14+gd
Southern B shouldbe 35 f 57 a 22-gd

I hope I'm right anyway... Kitch, can you confirm- your the master. Give me your league table.

Gleeson has a game in hand so a draw against the Breakers and a win in that catch up match could see both teams level on points with Navarino.

Evergreen is correct. What needs to occur for Navarino to get relegated is to lose to FC Adelaide 7-0 and for Gleeson to draw with Breakers and then beat Comets and Comets to also lose to Cougars.

Navarino can not be relegated. Remember, only the 2 bottom teams go down and there is one match remaining, even taking Gleesons postponed game out of the equation. Keeping it simply, FC adelaide can not catch you, 4 points behind. If Gleeson win next week against the Breakers, Breakers are behind you regardless of whether you win or not. If the game is drawn between Gleeson and Breakers, your still ahead of them..... please... dont tell me that you are going to get pumped 7-0 against the bottom side who have scored 18 goals in 17 games. Your safe.

Div 3.

Hahndorf 0 - 0 USC Lion

A very tough game for both teams. Midfield & Defence controlling 90%. B's & C games cancelled so the pitch wasn't killed before the big game at 3pm.

Well done to both teams who fought hard til the end. looks like Lion will win the league now but you never know!!! Both teams deserve to play in Div 2 next year. :D

It could, but the original question was if it was mathematically possible, which it is.
