It went quite well - was definitely worth doing.
15 were on the course (youth licence), all passing (6 with advanced pass)
The more coaches from womens clubs who can get accreditation at a reasonable level, the better....
Licences dont make good coaches, but at least it provides something for potentially good coaches to build on.

i really enjoyed it and socially it was great with everybody really friendly and enthusiastic towards each other, but i must say it was getting tough towards the end of the day it is like a 5 hour training session.

congratulations to everybody :D
I look at the great Liverpool Team. I think they won about eight League
Championships, and four European Cups. Compared to them I have done nothing

Cumby Trials

Post by barbarian »

pvfc, perhaps you might know, I heard a rumour that the Girls that trialled at Cumby on the weekend were charged $20 to trial. I found this hard to believe when I heard it but said I would try and find out the situation. Perhaps you or someone on the forum may know the situation.

Last year they did the same, I wasnt sure if they were going to do it again this year, but as you obviously already know barbarian (so why bother asking?) a $ 20 trial fee/deposit was asked for - but nobody was turned away if they couldnt pay it.
Its no big deal - if a player is selected it is knocked off their fees, if not, then it is returned.
If you were not there or involved in the club barbarian then why are you worried about it anyway?
End of story.

Glad you could make it Lassen - I think I may know who you were.
Hope all the youngsters didn't give you too hard a time
Nice to know you enjoyed yourself, I think it was an enjoyable day,( I was there at the morning trials too where we had a pretty good turn-out)
Hope to see you at the club next year.

pvfc, yeah those youngsters were running rings around me!
I'm sure you figured out which one was me - don't think there were that many new people out there.
There was a big turn out - not used to seeing so many players :)
