Post by Željko Jurin »

The Raiders Football Club is seeking expressions of interest for Under 19s and Reserves coaching positions for 2011.

This is a unique opportunity to work with former Adelaide United and Sydney FC boss, John Kosmina, who will take charge of the Raiders senior team in 2011.

Zeljko, This is serious, and if I may, I'll give you the some advise I would give my Club.
If you want the best, do what Metro, AC and ABE do.
Decide on who you want, then chase them as hard as you can.
Good Coaches like good Players, don't apply. Their ego demands they don't.

What, you don't have any requirements apart from the person to want the job?

I would think that the Ad is up there only for protocol reasons. My clubs constitution says that ALL paid positions must be made public.
I highly doubt Raiders and Kossie are sitting on thier hands expecting quality applications through an ad. then again. who knows!

You might be right...but if that was the case wouldn't they have to advertise the Senior role as well?
ZJ , why do you say Ritchie would be a conflict of interest? Asst. to Kossie and Reserves coach would be an excellent partnership. To be honest he could step straight into a senior coaching role.
Or has Ritchie already been earmarked for another role?
Some people tell me that we professional players are soccer slaves. Well, if this is slavery, give me a life sentence.

He will be the FFA Skills Aquisition Coach for kids in SA

Just like Airton, they cant align themselves with any clubs (ie) it's a conflict of interest

Sulmona,

I see your club is advertising in the local rag for a new coach - how come YOUR club isn't taking YOUR advice, or are Campbelltown not interested in finding a good coach to replace Rocky?

I guess if they take everyone advice, they would have to consider 100 potential coaches.
