Title match is next week Robbo. If WB lose to the Vale next week it will be the vale only needing to win to take out the league. You might want to check your table against the league website. There was a round where WB were intially given a 2-1 result when it was actually 1-1 and correct a week or so later.ROBBO wrote:Get the reserves scores up here and I will do Div 1 Reserves

It was called off due to the outside people getting involved, the fight should gave been left to the players, both teams have the main people sent off and game goes on, it's only because as you said, the official, players father and a clown!!Karmann Ghia wrote:So the bloke that copped the elbow when he got up and punched a Pontians player from behind before any further punches were thrown isn't at fault is he?balls deep wrote:Game was called off due to Pontians supporters and officials getting involved. Not really Downs fault, Pontians player that threw elbow should be embarrassed, leading 3-1 and really needing the points.
A ground official a father of a player and a clown run on the field it's wasn't a mass invasion!

You maybe waiting for the end of season but our season is still going and the only pattern you need to worry about is my size 10 doc martins stomping on your gerble you so proudly carry around with you in your man bag.Cobweb Rides Again wrote:Legga, got it on good authority that you were spied coming out of Lincraft this afternoon?
What end of season near, looking for a new pattern to knit for the off season?
You Heard Right....Also heard munno para lost to south coast in the a's and b's!!!
Eric, We are the Modbury Jets Amateur Football Club. We have no association with the Modbury Old Boys. Apparently PH West beat the Old Boys 2-0.eric the great wrote:PHE Old Boys 1-1 Modbury Old Boys

I was in the group on the hill directly looking across the play. No way was it off side and well done to the ref for ignoring the linesmanEast Boy wrote:East 2 - Pirie 1
Our first half was pretty bad. Frustration set in, cos things just werent happening. Pirie constantly looked for their leading goal scorer, Sam and he threatened everytime he got the ball. We went into the sheds down 1 nil at half time.
Some fantastic character show by the boys to come from behind and grab the points. Second half was much, much better and pirie didnt have too many chances. Controversial goal to win it for us, with the linesman flagging for offside. It was clearly a sqaure ball though and the ref rightly overturned the decision.
2 weeks to go.Its all in our hands now......

Ah a Southern Knights supporter! Still in Div 2?Sportsfan wrote:Pontian have a history of brawls, king hitting etc. and then getting the points! I cant imagine a team deliberately jeopardising their chances of getting the points with an all-in whilst leading 3-1. Were there any red cards issued whilst this was going on?Karmann Ghia wrote:Ah a Southern Knights supporter! Can you please tell us the history of the Pontian brawls and king hits you have mentioned. Cant wait to hear the story about when the Pontians played you guys in Div2 what 4 years ago?
Cant understand why people comment on things they have no knowledge about.
Pontians have done very well in the last few years finally getting into div 1 and staying there unlike some other div 2 teams yo-yoing between the 2 divisions. Yes they are no pushing for a title and have always looked to be struggling but managed to steer clear. They now have a facility worth of div 1 status and doing all they can to stay up. Being 3-1 up against the down with 10 to go was a great effort after being smashed 6-0 the week before.
So before you post stuff about another club worry about your own Southern fan.
i was in the changerooms getting changed at the time but the story i was told was basically the same but 5-10 pontians supporters ran on when the brawl started and from my knowledge no one from the downs actually made it over there. Also was told 20mins left not 10nuggett69 wrote:This is what I heard Pardisio elbowed a Down player got a red card Downs player punched him in the head they started brawling then Pontian Supporters ran on the pitch then Downs

Why is it that Pontians are involved in these confrontations almost on a weekly basis?marooned wrote:Was not there Nugget, I was told Downs player was elbowed in the face and retaliated, this started an all in and Pontian bench entered the field of play to join in and a couple of Pontian supporters joined in. No spectators, bench or officials from the Downs got involved.
