Title match is next week Robbo. If WB lose to the Vale next week it will be the vale only needing to win to take out the league. You might want to check your table against the league website. There was a round where WB were intially given a 2-1 result when it was actually 1-1 and correct a week or so later.

So the bloke that copped the elbow when he got up and punched a Pontians player from behind before any further punches were thrown isn't at fault is he?
A ground official a father of a player and a clown run on the field it's wasn't a mass invasion!
It was called off due to the outside people getting involved, the fight should gave been left to the players, both teams have the main people sent off and game goes on, it's only because as you said, the official, players father and a clown!!

Went down to watch the Peckers and Vista go for it. The Grove had to come from behind a couple of times and were down to 10 men for a while in the second half. A good hard game with some crunching tackles. In all a pretty fair game with the only biff was the ref who showed up 15 min late due to going to the wrong ground. Grove were trying to keep a lid on it and like Parafield can almost taste it. On that well done to Parafield on todays win and it makes this weeks game against us a lot more tastier with the Downs wanting to spoil the party and parafield trying to get a win so nugget can really get his xmas present.Who got the goals? was it a good game to watch was a bees slug away for heading down but close to home won.
On the downs game I heard that as said before if it wasnt for the pontiac biffs running on the pitch the game would of carried on, Not a lot in it from what I heard bit of claret spilt. So heres to a big weekend coming to Argry Park and heres to the Downs being Nuggets grinch and stealing his xmas..  Last home game for the downs so book your rdo..

What end of season near, looking for a new pattern to knit for the off season?

South Coast vs Munno Parra

B's: 3 - 1
The BIGDAWG managed to rescue the game with a Hat-Trick in 9 Minutes!!!

A's: 3 - 0
The South Coast Back 4 was very strong and held well all day, good work for the lads as it keeps us just clear of the bottom 2. Huge game against Plympton next week

East 2 - Pirie 1

Our first half was pretty bad. Frustration set in, cos things just werent happening. Pirie constantly looked for their leading goal scorer, Sam and he threatened everytime he got the ball. We went into the sheds down 1 nil at half time.
Some fantastic character show by the boys to come from behind and grab the points. Second half was much, much better and pirie didnt have too many chances. Controversial goal to win it for us, with the linesman flagging for offside. It was clearly a sqaure ball though and the ref rightly overturned the decision.

Eric, We are the Modbury Jets Amateur Football Club. We have no association with the Modbury Old Boys. Apparently PH West beat the Old Boys 2-0.
A very hard fought game. Jets taking the lead with 1/2 hour to go. East equaliser with about ten to go. Late penalty claim for handball for Jets but Ref couldn't see through crowd of players.
Dixie Dean was hailed by another Mersey legend, Liverpool’s Bill Shankly, as “belonging in the company of the supremely great, like Beethoven, Rembrandt and Shakespeare.”

60 goals, never to be equalled.

I was in the group on the hill directly looking across the play. No way was it off side and well done to the ref for ignoring the linesman :clown: who had no idea. Through out the second half he was never in line with the last defender and got nearly every call he made wrong. Referee did well considering he could not trust this guys calls. :clown:

Grove obviously did well as they were outplayed last week against the Knights but scraped a draw and lifted to beat their main rivals!

Personally I didn't think we (Knights) created many chances either and Inter looked a bit better going forward

In the B's, was an enjoyable game, we had 2 great chances but missed when scoring was simpler - great 35 yard goal from Pat but I don't think anyone there thought it was intentional

Referee was excellent and helped make the game enjoyable

Hope Inter don't go up, they have a good pitch

Ah a Southern Knights supporter! Still in Div 2?

Can you please tell us the history of the Pontian brawls and king hits you have mentioned. Cant wait to hear the story about when the Pontians played you guys in Div2 what 4 years ago?

Cant understand why people comment on things they have no knowledge about.

Pontians have done very well in the last few years finally getting into div 1 and staying there unlike some other div 2 teams yo-yoing between the 2 divisions. Yes they are no pushing for a title and have always looked to be struggling but managed to steer clear. They now have a facility worth of div 1 status and doing all they can to stay up. Being 3-1 up against the down with 10 to go was a great effort after being smashed 6-0 the week before.

So before you post stuff about another club worry about your own Southern fan.

Was a great day & game yesterday at the Gardens against the top 2 teams in the Premier League. One of the biggest crowds Ive see in a while and thankyou for those who came down I'm sure you were well entertained.

The game was certainly very tense and attacking the entire game although 0-0 HT both teams had chances. Florina were awarded a penalty with Gardens also getting one soon after with the game at 1-1. Great winning goal by young Andy McConnell who was swarmed by family & friends watching behind the goals.

The win yesterday was dedicated to our Trainer Derek Rayner who was a little unwell before the game but was still able to watch the rest of the game & by all reports is doing fine(thanks to Florina's trainer John Brown also).

Looking forward to the next 2 weeks GO U GARDENS :!:

I cant imagine a team deliberately jeopardising their chances of getting the points with an all-in whilst leading 3-1. Were there any red cards issued whilst this was going on?

i was in the changerooms getting changed at the time but the story i was told was basically the same but 5-10 pontians supporters ran on when the brawl started and from my knowledge no one from the downs actually made it over there. Also was told 20mins left not 10

i came out to the guy cooking the bbq still trying to start something as both teams were being seperated

vino can probably give a good idea on what happened

we also all went into the clubrooms and had a feed after and Pontians cooked up some decent shasliks for us so it was all left on the park at the end of the day

Why is it that Pontians are involved in these confrontations almost on a weekly basis?

This is very disappointing and bad form from both players who heated the situation. I hope they both end up with some sort of suspension. What makes this occurrence even worse is that Pontian’s have a fence which all supporters must be behind. If they make the effort to jump the fence and get involved then clearly the ref must report this and the Downs get the points.
