Para Hills East appear to have the easier draw. Everyone else plays at least two of the other three, with Vista playing all three.

Looking at the draw, think Vista are in trouble,
Grove's 3 point lead should see them promoted, with either PH East or Inter to join them,

Unless Vista promote key mid-season signing Vista09 to the first team set up?

Despite having no affiliation with any team, I hope Easties pull through (otherwise I may have to put up with a grumpy coach and trainer for a while).

If Vista win on Sunday they will jump Grove on goal difference, so wouldn't call that 'trouble'

Do you think all four teams could hold their own in Div 1 next year for whomever is promoted??

If Vista win on Saturday all four teams could potentially be on 35 points going into the final two rounds...

Everyone is so quite on here at the moment from div2! No one wants to talk themselves up or really talk about this topic. Well i will :D

All teams have a really tough run in. With us and Grove having 2 out of 3 games against the other top half sides and Vista and inters games all against the top 5.
But with us having Southern Kinghts away in the mix, that is certainly a tough one. Grove away to Bosna has proven to be tough also.
Maybe home ground advantage will be a player too. We have 2, the same as inter. But grove and vista only have 1 each.
I would have to say any of the teams who do get promoted will deserve it. We are all playing the best of the divison when it counts at the end. I personally cant wait!!
Goal difference may just shatter one clubs dream of div1 football.

My prediciton (/dream :D) is
Champions East
R/Up Grove
3rd Vista
4th Inter

Vista - They are in the driving seat as they have the chance to play the three other teams and take points off them however they are also vulnerable as a slip up in any of the last three matches could mean missing out. Their fitness and depth is going to play a key part in the final few weeks for them and will be the biggest advantage of the three teams. As long as they keep three clean sheets they should go up. Must finish second after all the hard work they have put in this year and all the shit they have given the gully.

PHE - Have the easiest run home IMO Pirie at home really should be a doddle and Knights away should be easy points, however it will be the last game of the year that means the most to them as a win over their neighbours would surely mean promotion. Don't put them down yet though as it takes more than an easy run and a good side to win the league from here with everyone around them putting on the pressure. Should win the league for me but won't do it without one or two scary moments.

Grove - Go into the final rounds with their three point advantage is always a plus however all it takes is a slip up and their goal difference will be their demise. However one would assume that those three points will play a vital part in their efforts to play in the top flight. They will need nothing short of a draw with Vista this weekend to ensure they are in the box seat come the final round of the year.

Inter - Many tipped them to bounce straight back into Div 1 this year however looking at their run home I dont quite think it will happen. They have to play Vista and Grove who will both be fired up looking for a win regardless of this weeks results, in the situation they are in though don't rule them out. They are in the worst position of the four teams as they have the lowest goal difference of the teams on 32 points but that means that they have nothing to lose and everything to gain from their last few matches.

1)Para Hills East - Gabon to lose what hair he has left
2)Modbury Vista - Vista's party to carry on well into January 8)
3)Elizabeth Grove - Left dissapointed but have got talent
4)Salisbury Inter - Will walk through Div 2 in 2011 :o

Hi swansong, as bada bing as quoted, has there been a finish to a season like this before, being possibly done to the last game?

Thanks outlaw, we don't have much left to play for but "Knights away should be easy points" should hopefully give us a spur and make it a bit more competitive

Please know PHESC take no blame for what Outlaw has to say, he has no affiliation with the club....

Could be a while waiting till Gab's hair is all gone...

We are the best team in the league and will prove that in the next 3 weeks. Bring it on... Everything to gain...

Elizabeth Grove ( 38 pts ...+16 ) ... Bosna (A), Salisbury Inter (A)
Para Hills East ( 35 pts...+25 ) ... Southern Knights (A), Modbury Vista (H)
Salisbury Inter ( 35 pts...+18 ) ... Modbury Vista (A), Elizabeth Grove (H)
Modbury Vista ( 32 pts ...+24 ) ... Salisbury Inter (H), Para Hills East (A)

Even after yesterday's games, all teams still a chance to gain promotion! Surely Grove have sealed their place, who joins them may just go down to goal difference...

I dont know about grove sealing their promotion. They have a tough game away against bosna, who drew with Vista recently. Then they have inter away. Tough game in anyones book. Inter could just sneak up and gain promotion or even the title if they win their last 2. Vista also needing to get back to winning ways if they are to keep up.

No way Grove have sealed anything, especially with the lowest goal difference. Vista in a must win situation this week now.
