[Good point !!!
The reason i posted my complaint about people specifically commenting that way to and about one another, talking silly just because they know each other, have been long time members/friends so they think its all fine and funny, private humour etc. was because my son who is 14 likes to read about topics of interest but like me becomes annoyed and feels his time is being wasted when people like you and your mates are just doing as you please while thinking you are all are being funny when really you are all just being a pain in the butt.
When we see a new post we generally go in to read it and then.....OH !!!,NO!!!..not again.
So instead of people having to scroll down when they have already gone into the subject, wouldn't it be easier and more sensible to keep the personal stuff where it belongs....PM section,as i guess that's what its there for.
As i suggested keep your frivolous and lighthearted comments where they belong and not where they are being posted as it is a sad situation when a 14 year old says, ¨Dad,they are so annoying. Why do they have to write those silly things ? Who other than them are interested in their dumb, silly comments.Do they think they are smart or funny ? They are just as bad as the kids that muck around in class and at soccer training. They are selfish and spoil it for the rest who are interested and serious. There is a time and place for that. Why cant they grow up !!!
As for posting rubbish like that on a Junior Forum the moderator didn't seem to mind it and it wasn't shiraz or kcuf etc.
I think we have made our point so get over it.

Good on ya joejoejoe! we have put up with these tossers for long enough, they seem to think they own this forum and they get away with nasty comments about other teams/coaches which they describe as being frivolous and lighthearted! I think is very poor form considering this is a junior football forum. It is very dissapointing to witness behaviour from at least a previous coach from para hills called rabbit who is only too happy to spit venomon on anyone he sees as a threat. He no longer even resides here in adelaide but still can't keep his mouth shut regardless ( hang on I've heard that quote before!!!!!!!!!!!) Just remember this guys, kids are reading this crap you post and your not as anonymous as you think! uote]

For all the 14 years olds out there, this is what grown ups call an overreaction.

I would hope that most parents would stop their kids from reading this particular thread, not because of the frivolous comments, but more because it does little more than promote the odious cult of celebrity that has little or no place at this level of the game.

oh so it's ok for your mates to post malicous comments about other coaches/people/ teams but not for people to reciprocate you are a joke. parents wont stop their kids from reading these posts so stop your mates from being nasty and be more accepting.

Ah look at you joe, welcome to kindy  as soon as someone elses opinion differs from yours you attack them with an insult :?
Not the ideal way of conducting yourself on the forum

joe, I'll say this to you, this forum has been around for a long time and is a great tool for researching a lot of things regarding our local game. There are users that have been members for a long time and new users are always welcome, there are users that post serious stuff and some that dont, get over it, it's a service that is free and well moderated.
You are more than welcome on here, but if you're gonna come on here and attack everyone on how they should act you're gonna get some attack back, simple! If this is such an important site for you to research what ever you're looking for, be patient and I'm sure you'll find it somewhere in here. If you yourself have an opinion on a matter, I will respect your opinion even if it differs from mine and hope visa versa.

Also, if you're gonna make suggestions the I might want to bed Elton John, well then you better do that to me in person, my name is Jim, you can find me at the same club as youself every night of the week

It's a dumb topic because there is no definitive answer, merely personal opinions.

For what it's worth, my opinion is that the best junior coach is the one who (a) makes playing and training enjoyable so the kids want to play and stay in the game, and (b) gets the best possible out of each and every kid (with the caveat that the kids actually want to improve, not just fuck about). Some will be great, some just OK and some rubbish, but so long as they are coached equally and they reach their full potential he'd get my backing every time.

Although I expect the kids to be competitive, personally, I don't give a damn about results, if you give kids the tools to assess their own performance I think they often learn more from a defeat than a win.

So BEST is a very subjective word. What is best for one might not be for another.

As i suggested keep your frivolous and lighthearted comments where they belong and not where they are being posted as it is a sad situation when a 14 year old says, ¨Dad,they are so annoying. Why do they have to write those silly things ? As for posting rubbish like that on a Junior Forum the moderator didn't seem to mind it and it wasn't shiraz or kcuf etc.
I think we have made our point so get over it.

Good on ya joejoejoe! we have put up with these tossers for long enough, they seem to think they own this forum and they get away with nasty comments about other teams/coaches which they describe as being frivolous and lighthearted! I think is very poor form considering this is a junior football forum. It is very disappointing to witness behaviour from at least a previous coach from para hills called rabbit who is only too happy to spit venom on anyone he sees as a threat. He no longer even resides here in adelaide but still can't keep his mouth shut regardless ( hang on I've heard that quote before!!!!!!!!!!!) Well then, if they don't like the script they obviosly have no reason to be on this FORUM voicing their own OPINIONS. Whether it be with their mates or just alone.........FIND ANOTHER FORUM I SAY :clown: :clown: :clown:

Realistically I don't think any of us can answer "who is the best junior coach?". The reason for this is quite simple...unless we have spent all our time moving kids from club to club and watching all the training sessions (not just match day) we cannot possibly compare coaches.

Perhaps a better question would be "who are great junior coaches...and why?"

I think my son is fortunate to have a great junior coach who he has played under for 5 years now...prior to that he had one terrible coach and a couple of others who recognised that they were only able to coach to a certain level but were wonderful with what they did.

Why do I think my sons current coach so good?

He teaches the kids about the game.
He teaches the kids skills.
He explains the game plan.
He is open to both players and parents for discussion or clarification of anything.
He questions himself to ensure he is always providing the best possible options for the kids.
He believes in not just picking the stars but looking for players he can develop.
He has faith in his team.
He treats the kids with respect.
He varies training to keep interest up.
He makes training relevant to what he is looking for on the field.
He will not be swayed by or get involved in any forms of club politics...he is there for the team not himself.
He encourages kids to play at the highest level without pushing them up too early.
He doesn't focus on the results...rather, believes that with all the other stuff being covered they will come.

I am sure that as soon as I post this I will think of something else I should have added but there you go.

Joe...I have, though this forum, met some of the guys that are posting on here and having a joke...some of them I have enormous respect for (none of them have ever coached my children). I would suggest that the best option is to sit back and watch over a period of time and see who really does have the best interests of children at heart :D

Believe it or not, yesterday, before the game, he again stressed that while a win would be nice he would rather see the boys playing good, disciplined football than win 1-0 playing rubbish! It did seem to work though... :D :D :D
