Re: Amateur Council of Clubs
C Grade starting late is a good thing. At least you have the time to get as many teams in as you can instead of getting early forfeits. Remember that C Graders (with a few notable exceptions on this forum) take longer to get organised for most clubs. It would be like requiring Iggies to have their 7th team finalised by the same time. Of course I anticipate one response might be that if you can't get it organised in time don't field a team, but I believe the priority is to get the people playing even if it takes an extra 3 weeks to organise them.

Re: Amateur Council of Clubs
is this being formed because SAASL are useless and only think about $$$$$$$$.
Re: Amateur Council of Clubs
Jay firstly this idea has been talked about for sometime I'm just making it happen secondly read my post mate I said I will forward an agenda before the meeting once I get some feedback.
Not going to be to interested in it becoming a whinge session of refs etc or for people who show their ignorance for never asking the SAASL about issues they may have & are affectively keyboard warriors.
This is a genuine opportunity for clubs to get together to assist the SAASL who are prodominently volunteers to improve, promote & strengthen our leagues.
With respect to the location the first meetings at Gardens but I would like to think this could be a regular thing and therefore could be done at anyones club down the track.
It shouldnt go all night like some have suggested as I like short sharp meetings that dont get out of control & stick to the agenda. Importantly we should look at the issues & ideas that are most pressing for next season so lets not try and do everything at once.
Thanks to those that have PM me already & keep the suggestions coming (except sweaty bollocks ).

i think the list on here is a good place to start an agenda, but then again the o/35's cup could take a few hours to work out what the fuck has gone on this seasonlefty wrote:Jay firstly this idea has been talked about for sometime I'm just making it happen secondly read my post mate I said I will forward an agenda before the meeting once I get some feedback.

I agree that if this meeting is going to occur, there is no point in us all sitting down for hours telling each other bad referee stories. If someone has a point in how to improve the situation then thats what should be discussed.
I guess the question is, what are the most pressing issues out of what has been discussed here so far.

Where am I sucking up there?
I would just prefer a location that wasn't 35 mins away from where I live.

Re: Amateur Council of Clubs
Will be a pre AGM/ pre season meeting of clubs so we can have an agenda set in place rather than 40 clubs trying to get their points across and waiting another year for a chance to get a valid message to SAASL. All clubs can discuss in house issues with other clubs that have been there done that and found a solution.
Re: Amateur Council of Clubs
I think this idea has the potential to be a real positive for our league as a whole. Well done to the organizers for thinking up such a concept.
really a representative from the SAASL should be there too to mediate between the two parties, clubs and league
