providing we sign schwarzer and keep cesc i like our squad and back ups

atm imo our line ups should look like this

--------------schwarzer------------------

sagna---koscielny-vermealen---clichy

------------------song---------------------

-----------cesc----------nasri------------

arshavin-------------------------van persie

-----------------chamakh------------------

and 2nd line up

-----------------mannone----------------

eboue---djouoru-nordtviet----gibbs

-----------------denilson-----------------

----------rosicky-------wilshere--------

walcott------------------------------vela

-----------------bendtner----------------

this is going by ramsey taking the year to recover, as well as leaving us with the likes of traore, diaby, eastmond, simpson, szecsney, j.e.t as third choice players. wouldnt be suprised to see lansbury, cruise and afobe see a fair amount of action as well
some supporter you are... I barely even watch a third of your team's games and I know the line up better than you
do you honestly think Wenger would start with only one of Song, Denilson and Diaby in the middle? It's going to be two of those 3 and Fabregas ahead of them, Nasri on the bench or on the wing
Arshavin and Van Persie like playing from the wing, not on it, so they'll swap sides (Van Persie will probably start up top anyway with Chamakh on the bench and Nasri or Walcott on the right)

where do i start..... the reason nasri was rarely in the same starting line up as cesc last year was because they were never really fully fit at the same time! (nasri spending the start of the season with a broken leg and cesc the second half with the hammy and his knee) denilson and diaby are both still inconsistant and nasri is more then capable of dropping back as well as offer far more purposful runs and passing options through the middle. as rvp and arshavin, rvp has spent most of his career (early arsenal days, feyenoord days as well for the dutch team) out wide on the left, and arshavin has played his fair share down the right. not to mention that if you have watched arsenal the guys on the wings are constintly changeing over. chamakh was bought to replace adebayor and wont spend the season off the bench! nasri and rosicky (who out of necessity through injuries to RVP, wlcott, vela, arshavin spent time on the wings last year) have already been playing through the middle so far in this years pre season!

this was MY preffered lineups mate, not exactly what wenger plans!

and if you have only seen a third of our games then maybe you should go watch the other two thirds to see how we line up and play! :clown: :D

most games I saw featured Nasri AND Fabregas
one played in the middle, one played on the wing...
Van Persie is nowhere near mobile enough to effectively play on the wing (notice how he's playing better in the last few seasons? It's because he's through the middle...) and he was dominating last year up top

For a non-Arsenal fan you seem to follow them very closely.

No wisecracks about the Gunners going what 6years without silverware in your repertoire?

Van Persie is nowhere near mobile enough to effectively play on the wing (notice how he's playing better in the last few seasons? It's because he's through the middle...) and he was dominating last year up top
so you only watched games between november and febuary then? seen as nasri was out for the opening 8 games and cesc only played a handful in the latter stages of the season? during which walcott, vela, rvp, arshavin, eduardo all suffered spells of injuries which forced us to play other players in the wings..... you would of also during oyur comprehensive viewing of our games last season see diaby, eboue, rosicky, traore and even bendtner play on the wings. doesnt mean thats there ideal place to play, just through necessity are played there. nasri and cesc last year did line up like that on more then a few occasions but it wasnt our ideal line up that put them there. diaby and denilson got most of there game time in the middle when cesc or nasri or ramsey being out.

i agree rvp is better in the centre but he is also a very good lw and given our current players he is a best wide choice and given chamakh and his strengths he is our best option as the target man. if you really did see a lot of our games last year then you know we play with very loose wingers and the only one that really playa as a winger is walcott with most others playing a roaming role around our target man (be it rvp, bendtner arshavin or who ever happened to b in that role for the day)

once again let me clarrify tht this is my opinion on the best and 2nd best 11, i have a lot of mates who are arsenal fans that agree, and if you trawl most arsenal sites you'll see that its a view majority share. doesnt mean its what will be selected but i guess haveing a personal preffered 11 (that may or may not be the actual chosen 11) must mean i dont have a clue or to quote yourself 'some supporter i am'

nasri wont be starting on the bench (uness injured or fatigued) he is one of our key players and even with missing a large amount of games through injury he still started 22 times and only sat the bench 4 times in the epl last season....

must admit I only skimmed that... so much writing with so little intelligence
1. saying that your mates who are Arsenal fans agree with you only proves one thing: Arsenal fans are idiots with a limited knowledge of football
2. Diaby got much of his game time and played most of his best football with Fabregas in the side... I credit his early season form for me winning my football club's Fantasy League competition

Bendtner and Denilson injuries 'not big'

Arsène Wenger says the groin injuries suffered by Denilson and Nicklas Bendtner "do not look big."

The pair have not travelled to Austria for this summer's training camp but the manager expects them to return to action shortly.

"Bendtner has a groin [injury] and Denilson has a groin [problem] as well," Wenger confirmed in an interview with Arsenal TV Online.

"The injuries do not look big but at the moment they cannot fulfil full training sessions. They will be one week behind the rest [of the squad]."

Was at the Legia v Arsenal game yesterday in Warsaw and must say Chamakh is looking very promising. Great vision and composure on the ball. Expecting big things from him in the PL this season TBH.

LOL defending to be expected from an average eastern European opponent. Fabianski isn't too bad, the reserve team keeper Szczesny is one to look out for though. Pulled out some top saves in the second half when he came on.

Starting to shape up a little for the gooners. Squad starting to gel,(finally) and players starting to play up to their tags.
Nice group in the CL.
Do we need more signings other than a GK :?: Thoughts...

Possibly another defender, since we have let Gallas, Campbell, Silvestre, Senderos go and signed two.Wouldnt mind some cover for Song other than Denilson.

4 CB's should be enough.. now we need to get a keeper most probably Schwarzer.... Given would be a lot better but Citeh wouldnt let him join Arsenal.. and that i think will conclude the Arsenal transfers for the summer.
