Re: Sunday 1 August Results
The league would set a terrible precedence if they allowed the game to be replayed, open a massive can of worms.
for every team could then threaten the ref when they are losing to have the game replayed.
Me thinks the ref's report will be damning for Bosna. Very likely to lose the points altogether
only way to really punish them especially if this has happened before is to take the points away from them, even tho they wouldn't have got the points anyway

Great win by the boys today. All set up by great pressure on the ball and being 3 nil up after about 25 minutes. MBoy making an immediate impact with the first and miller getting the other two. Then we went to sleep at the 60 min mark and they scored. we scored again and they scored to end it.
Bring on the Easties train till the end of the season!!!
Cant wait to play Iggies in the cup as i'm not cup tied!!!
We should have a fairly good side out for the cup as we fielded a weakened side against the Downs.... Should be interesting!!!
Kitch, you'll have to introduce yourself to me... I'll be the little fat one in the middle of the pitch...

that can be contradicted by sending random people on opposing teams sides (where their fans are) and get them yelling abuse and threatening the ref so that he can cancel the game in the teams favour and awarding them with the 3 points.. always two sides to the story.. Westies struggled with any goal mouth pressure on the Downs and really look like the only department they struggle in is goalscoring. Downs took their chances and even cleared one off the line for Westies! Third goal was a ripper!
Great to see Westies young fellas at the front and back having a run showing that age is no barrier !

You started to earn some respect last week, agreeing about the cheating in the reserves etc but your losing it real quick
One of your supporters threatened our linesman last week and was pulled away by 4 guys - I would guess it was the same guy
Last week we won 2-0 and complained about cheating
This week we lost 5-0 and have no real complaints
sort yourselves out
If I was you, I wouldn't be certain of staying in Division 2 for next year

Solid performance from the East yesterday. Thought it was going to get interesting there for a while. Maco's keeper had an absolute blinder and kept them in it for a fair while. We gave him BOG and it could have been very interesting if he wasnt there.eric the great wrote:PHE old boys 3-2 Modbury old boys
B's PHE 10-0 Maco's
A's PHE 4-2 Maco's
Great to have Monkey boy back in the A's. Given BOG by Maco's is a good start. Not quite BOG by the ref though
In the ressies; a mention must go to Mick Krollig who managed to put away 6 goals.
The ressies were only 1 nil up at half time too. Great work boys.

Because Jay Walking wasn't at the game. . . . . .
Ingle Farm vs Elizabeth Vale
A's - A great end to end game with both teams having enough chances to make it a goal fest and had it not been for some great goalkeeping from Mike Francken could have been a few more on the cards for the Vale. Unforunately Farm did miss a penalty to bring it back to 2-2 with Coxy putting it wide of the post. Both teams battled hard all day and in the end Vale deserved the three points as they took their chances well. A couple of injuries for us with Lachy Campbell going down to a solid challenge on the verandah side and 4-1 pulling up a lil sore (or so he told me after the game )
B's - Tough game on a funny old pitch with patches looking fantastic and patches looking worse than ours, although not the worst I have played on. Vale's goal was nothing fancy just some good play inside the box and some slack marking on our part lead to the ball ending up in the net. We had our chances to take the lead before hand but couldn't convert. Our goal was again some slack marking and a bit of fortune for an easy far post tap in. Probably should have made it 2-1 in the last 15 but failed to hit the target and IMO Vale were lucky to hang on to the draw. If only I didn't miss an open goal with 20 to play
C's - An Undermanned C team side missing four regulars and losing one at half time managed to get the three points, Congrats to Pierre on his comeback to score the only goal of the game. He was very fortunate when the ball fell to him inside the box as he first hit the bar but was on hand quick enough to follow up and put it away. Agree that in a very scrappy game a fair result would have been 0-0 with neither keeper having much to do. Thought the Farm goalkeeper was clearly B.O.G though
Thanks very much to Vale for the day always enjoy a beer down there and good luck to them for the last few games of the season.
Also Heard our Womens team got a 4-1 win over UniSA with Uni's only goal coming from a penalty good to see the girls getting another win in their first year of competition. Not to mention our O/35's who played out a 0-0 draw with Para Hills West, Good luck to Paul Townsend who snapped his achiles tendon and looks to be sidelined for some time :?

Yep very even first half, lads came out firing in the 2nd but was definately a few nervous moments there at 2-1. Great win though. If you lads play a full 90 minutes like your first 45 yesterday against Munno Para this week, could be in line for a massive final 4 games for the top 5.Aldo Serena wrote:Well done to your boys web - very even first half, but Brahma came out hard in the second half and scored two goals early and effectively killed us off.web wrote: As-Brahma 4-1 Blue Eagles 1

A's game was a cracker to watch. The penalty did miss but pretty sure the keeper had it covered Our defence held strong in the last 15mins to collect a well needed 3 points.
B's By far our most scappy preformance for the yr on a average pitch. Well taken header of a free kick to put us up 1 nil going into the break. Farm controlled the secound half and not naming names 'OUTLAW' missed a sitter which proberly would have givin them the momentum and maybe the game. Were lucky to hang on for the point.
