Torrens Valley as a club have always been honest with us and a bit of a laugh after the game.
In the relation to the 3pm ko, we agreed to the start at their ground as it would give us a good sleep in before the game which obviously benefits us. Obviously the 3pm ko are not within the rules of Div6 but if both teams agree then I can no problems with it.
Have their away games been also at 3pm ko or the normal time of 11:30am?

Yeah - if I hadn't for some random reason clicked on the Saturday Division 6 fixtures the Thursday before our Es were meant to play them (I already had the fixtures on the OISC website), they would have rocked up at 11:30am. The SAASL should have notified all of the clubs in the Division.
Well, what ever the case the MAHawks have postponed tomorrows clash with Torrens Valley due to the 3pm kick off.
We cant get a squad together due to work and other commitments as we have planned our saturdays to play 11.30am..
Sorry Iggies...if you get over us in a few weeks time we will make sure to beat TV in the catchup game...

Torrens Valley now have to make up 3 league fixtures. I know that they are playing FC Adelaide on the Cup round, but it looks like their season might run for an extra two weeks. I hope this doesn't mean that other clubs forfeit against them, because they would be uncool.

Just out of curiosity would the SAASL consider this a valid reason to postpone the game? I know last season I chose C team football because of the 11:3oam kick off.

Well, we did write to the league and to TV regarding this situation..
TV replied stating that their players work in the mornings which meant they couldn't change the game time (how do they play away games?).
The League didn't reply so we had no choice but to postpone.
We did everything possible so I believe we shouldn't lose the points especially since division 6 is supposed to be a C grade and not a one team group...
Am I missing something here? I could be wrong so please correct me if I am. At the start of the season the SAASL agreed that Torrens Valley were to play their home fixtures at 3.00pm. Torrens Valley don't finalise the times, the SAASL do. Therefore, each team in div.6 when playing away to Trrens Valley are to kick off at 3.00pm. I disagree with them being allowed a 3.00pm kick off but that's not the point. The point is that if the MA Hawks can't get a team together to play Torrens Valley at Torrens Valley at 3.00pm, then surely the Hawks should be made to forfeit.

I agree with all of this, hence the question if the SAASL would consider the reason to be sufficient to postpone a game.
When we played a trial against them TV informed us of the 3pm ko....heard nothing from the league hence why assumed it was something agreed upon by the teams and not enforced by the league.

The club was not informed of the start time full stop.
We wrote to the League and even offered our ground with no reply.
We are very happy to play TV at their ground for the catch up game but at 11.30am.
If the Hawks are to lose their points then the league has something to answer to when TV give us an excuse of "working in the mornings" as the reason they can't play in the morning...excuse me, what happens to their away games?
But, end of the day, TV should win the league as Iggies dropped points on the weekend...unless Comets beat them on their catch up game then the title is theirs...
