Saturday Division 4B - Hazara
After reading on the forum a few weeks ago that Hazara didn't turn up against Flinders for a 4B match, I now learn after corresponding with the Strathalbyn club contact that Hazara did not field a 4B team on the weekend, without letting Strathalbyn or the SAASL know.
This is a warning for all teams playing Hazara this season to make sure that their 4B fixture is actually going to go ahead.

Re: Saturday Division 4B - Hazara
As far as I understand it, Hazara has been warned about the conduct of their Reserves after an altercation in the cup round v MA Hawks.Kitchimo wrote:After reading on the forum a few weeks ago that Hazara didn't turn up against Flinders for a 4B match, I now learn after corresponding with the Strathalbyn club contact that Hazara did not field a 4B team on the weekend, without letting Strathalbyn or the SAASL know.

If the SAASL get a whiff of this, it might spell the end of the club in general?

Re: Saturday Division 4B - Hazara
Isn't this the team who walked off the pitch after disputing the referee (SAASL referee) against Old Ignatians?

Re: Saturday Division 4B - Hazara
I assume Strathalbyn informed the SAASL.
From what I was informed, Strathalbyn travelled all the way to Woodville to find that Hazara never intended to play the reserve fixture. IMO Hazara should be immediately sanctioned and their reserve team thrown out/results expunged.
When our 6th team played the Hazara reserves, there were no issues (as they won). However, when our 3rd and 4th team travelled to Hazara, the reserve match was blighted by farcical refereeing, and the first team match saw Hazara 'walk off' in protest at what they perceived to be referee bias (they were down 0-3 in the first half), and our coach actually had to escort the referee to his car. The warning signs were there.

Re: Saturday Division 4B - Hazara
Have to say I would agree with this, when we played them as 4C at Hazara, no problems other than refereeing problems which I would say were beyond farcial. When they came to Flinders the Resereves never showed up to play our B's and in the A game they had a player sent off for punching our A's Keeper. After the game they contiuned to abuse the ref and acused him of changing the game. (They were 3-0 down when they had the player sent off!) Muppets and a shame to as some of them have some good skills!Kitchimo wrote:I assume Strathalbyn informed the SAASL.

Re: Saturday Division 4B - Hazara
I spoke to their rep today after 3 days of trying. They have forfeited this week against OISC (3). He did not understand much English but from what I could get out of him someone has gone away who was organising the B Grade. I tried to explain to him the importance of letting the opposition and the association know but he didn't seem to understand.
I have let the SAASL know. The SAASL were in the process of 'calling Hazara in' to find out what exactly was going on, anyhow.

You'd think it would be common sense... then again common sense is not all that common.Kitchimo wrote:I tried to explain to him the importance of letting the opposition and the association know but he didn't seem to understand.
Re: Saturday Division 4B - Hazara
Apparently the Div 4B coach has gone overseas for whatever reason and he was the one organising everything, now he's gone the team has fallen apart.
Re: Saturday Division 4B - Hazara
Hasn't this team now forefeited 3 games, simple answer kick them out.
This team also walked off the pitch before half time and the half time score stood. Simple answer - kick them out.

At the risk of putting this thread off topic: it is, but it isn't. Hazara are both an ethnic group and a region in Pakistan... that was named after the ethnic group. "Afghanis" are not made up of a single ethnic group. Better?Bodø Glimt wrote:I suppose you could say the same about Serbs and Croats.
