Re: League Restructure - Campbelltown City
The latest email received from FFSA regarding the Campbelltown City Div 4 team (Received yesterday)
Dear All
As you would be aware the Football Federation SA has been working with Campbelltown City to address their position within the Girls’ and Women’s Competitions. Initially after a lot of discussions with this club, they were removed from the Premier and Reserve Division and placed in Division One and Four, where a bye had existed.
As previously communicated this decision was made for a number of reasons and we had specified that the Football Federation SA would be monitoring the situation in regards to this team being placed in Division 4. After reviewing this situation for a number of weeks and identifying the impact that the placement of this team is having on the overall Division 4 Competition and also the club itself, the Football Federation SA has resolved that this team will be removed from the Division 4 effective immediately.
All games that this team had played in Division 4 will not be counted and will be recorded simply as a bye. We do understand that some inconvenience may have been caused to some clubs with the placement of Campbelltown City in this Division however the Football Federation SA were endeavouring to identify every perceivable opportunity to enable all players at Campbelltown City to continue to play. This has obviously not been at the greater benefit of all and consequently the team will be removed.
If you have any further queries relating to this matter please do not hesitate contact me. On behalf of the Football Federation SA I would like to thank all clubs for their patience in regards to this matter.

Good to hear but that totally sucks for the teams who did play catchup games during the week as it definitely impacted on the following sundays game!!
It clearly never should have happened to begin with!

Re: League Restructure - Campbelltown City
Interesting how the decision is made after the 30th of June so that none of the girls can play with other clubs for the remainder of the season...
For Munno Para, Villa & Inter the games were still a good hit-out ...I think Ctown should have stayed in the division but without any results standing/counting towards the table....now those Ctown girls have to twiddle their thumbs for 9 months...

This just about sums it.Granny wrote: To those of you at ffsa running this show...............YOU ARE A BUNCH OF CLOWNS
Everybody knew it including the C'town players and families apparently. ONLY FFSA and the C'town board (men's) didn't know it...or wanted it to end this way. Rumor has it the girls have been put in that situation by the men's club that thought their results in the Prems were creating a bad reputation for their (men's) club! Especially after a 16-0 loss. If this is so, shame on you ppl! You don't deserve anything from those girls and they should go where they are more appreciated.
HELLO FFSA!!?? THE GIRLS PAY FEES AND YOU MAKE MONEY WITH THEM: WHY DO THEY GET THIS CRAPPY TREATMENT?

wonder where they have ended up? shame as the C'town girls just want to play and should of been put in an appropriate league from the start. the teams that played them and took it up to them will only benefit from the experience. good luck to dimi and his side in what ever happens for the rest of the yr. look forward to a HUGE league re-shuffle next yr

Sorry to hear that Camillo...I'm sure Ctown WSC will bounce back and hope that it does..
however the letter states the decision was made partly After reviewing this situation for a number of weeks and identifying the impact that the placement of this team is having on the overall Division 4 Competition so I hope that was still the case...

Its not like I was spreading gossip or inuendo.corona wrote:. tony mowbary you get these letters form some one who is in a position at a club that should not give to you , shame , .
This was a "PUBLIC" email to all delegates from FFSA directly. I am a legitimate recipient just sharing the information.
I feel for the C/town girls also.
I would have preferred they play on without the points counting in Div 4
Re: League Restructure - Campbelltown City
sorry corona not good enough.....drusetta was on here last season and big talking himself and CCSC, pull your teams out , focus on next year your club has turned the league into a circus , what about the poor other clubs that have been playing in div 4 and then the nightmare starts with your team going in there,,,,,not good enough, other clubs have been flogged in the past in prem league but still played the season out.....sorry mate but thats SOFTcorona wrote:sorry to you all , but when you have no idea what has happened at the club , dont come on here and say what is wrong . tony mowbary you get these letters form some one who is in a position at a club that should not give to you , shame , and for bad egg and the rest campbelltown had to pull the pin on div 4 as lack of numbers with 5 players going overseas . 2 leaving the club . and to be honest lack of respect from some of the senior players to the club , the ffsa done all they can , they didnt want this , they want to keep all the girls playing , but ccsc women was falling apart . i dont need to come on here to explain , but back off when you have no IDEA , or even better come see me . im easy to find at the club ask for corona or camillo lombardi . .

Re: League Restructure - Campbelltown City
I feel for those girls that are now redundant or are only going to play every so often. Seeing that this is a decision made by FFSA maybe they should consider the players that are missing out on playing and give only CC players a one week grace period to find another club, seeing that this decision was made after the 30 June deadline ????

Re: League Restructure - Campbelltown City
Yeah I agree with this...It's awful that the girls now don't even play in d4 anymore and can't go to another club. They have been talked into sticking with the club when the decision was made but now what's in for them? All i can say is I am glad I am not a CC player so I don't have to go through this. They were there to play Prems/Reserves...D1 can be acceptable but D4 is obviously a joke...and now what???
Re: League Restructure - Campbelltown City
Seems like a good thing that our women's team didn't get entered this season. Seems like an absolute joke.

Re: League Restructure - Campbelltown City
Just a question, there may be a way of getting around the June 30th deadline ruling. If a club folds, dont all those players become unregistered, and are then available to register to play with other clubs for the rest of that season ??
I just think players should be given the opportunity to play out the season ,for points somewhere, still almost half a season to go.

i think you might be right, but would that mean they would need to pay for registration with ffsa AGAIN since they are deemed 'unregistered'The General wrote:Just a question, there may be a way of getting around the June 30th deadline ruling. I think you might be right too, would be a bit harsh of FFSA given what the girsl have already gone through,if not handled correctly could be lost to the sport, which would be a far greater cost.

Re: League Restructure - Campbelltown City
After some thought maybe we shouldnt put the blame solely on FFSA for waiting until after June 30th as Corona seems to be implying that Ctown were the ones to pull the plug................ which when you think about it, Ctown protecting themselves from their girls leaving to go to another club does make sense

in that case pull the whole team out and dont put it in a other division, in this case all players should be free agents even if it was after the deadline, you have to make sure the girls that wana play are not the ones that miss out..piss poor by both parties CCSC and FFSA
Re: League Restructure - Campbelltown City
ok , i will only say this , and then im not replying again . we had come to a point where we had only enough players to field a div 1 squad , with players going or injuries , we had to decide on this as div 4 players where filling in div1 , which then they couldnt play div4 due to the rules stated . seeing this problem and div 1 girls only 6 training , we as a club decided only this week to form one club , div 4 to div1 , thanks to the div 4 girls who all are helping and those div1 that have decided to stay and fight for the club and spot on the team . no more free tickets to play ,. really the problem stems in the div 1 team with lack of respect to team mates to train or committ. open your eyes people . more to the picture then you wish to see , do you really think we wanted this or the ffsa . NO . but we where put in a corner to the last resort . and we didnt shaft players from div1 to transfer . we still have div1 . only difference is now we have a full squad to choose from and compete for spots . like other clubs train and perform you play . simple . everyone likes to point the finger well look in the mirror .
Re: League Restructure - Campbelltown City
good luck c'town, i cant believe how all this has gone down this season. im sure they will be back in prems soon enough. may take some time to rebuild and recover from this but im sure it will happen

Re: League Restructure - Campbelltown City
you seem to think these issues only happen at Ctown, well let me tell you after playing at over 6 clubs in my time this happens everywhere but most clubs struggle through it until the end of the season as they have made a commitment not only to their own club but to all the other clubs in the league, advertising for players and picking up players where ever they can no matter how good they are. And if you had so many players gone surely you would have known before this whole problem occurred i fail to see why you still went through the trouble of placing your reserves team into div 4, why not pull them from the start of this whole issue!!corona wrote:ok , i will only say this , and then im not replying again . we had come to a point where we had only enough players to field a div 1 squad , with players going or injuries , we had to decide on this as div 4 players where filling in div1 , which then they couldnt play div4 due to the rules stated . seeing this problem and div 1 girls only 6 training , we as a club decided only this week to form one club , div 4 to div1 , thanks to the div 4 girls who all are helping and those div1 that have decided to stay and fight for the club and spot on the team . no more free tickets to play ,. really the problem stems in the div 1 team with lack of respect to team mates to train or committ. open your eyes people . more to the picture then you wish to see , do you really think we wanted this or the ffsa . i feel extremely sorry for the girls who are now stuck at Ctown competing for a place every week (like you said) when there are plenty of other clubs which they could have transferred to had you done what was best for them in the first place!

Re: League Restructure - Campbelltown City
Poor form by the girls that have left the club in the lurch, shows a real lack or respect and loyalty. I'm sure C'town have done all they can to make things work and I think most clubs with only two senior teams would struggle if 5 or more players up and left, as mentioned in Corona's previous post, especially if they were from the higher ranked team. Good luck to the team for the rest of the season, and to the club in the future, hopefully they can rebuild and become a force again in womens soccer.corona wrote:ok , i will only say this , and then im not replying again . we had come to a point where we had only enough players to field a div 1 squad , with players going or injuries , we had to decide on this as div 4 players where filling in div1 , which then they couldnt play div4 due to the rules stated . seeing this problem and div 1 girls only 6 training , we as a club decided only this week to form one club , div 4 to div1 , thanks to the div 4 girls who all are helping and those div1 that have decided to stay and fight for the club and spot on the team . no more free tickets to play ,. really the problem stems in the div 1 team with lack of respect to team mates to train or committ. open your eyes people . more to the picture then you wish to see , do you really think we wanted this or the ffsa .
