wasent just that, argentina were sooo spaced out, so germany had all this space to move around. no one was really shutting down. gaps everywhere.

just shows that Maradona had no backup plan, and not such a great plan to begin with.

He had Milito on the bench ( the guy that scored 2 goals in a CL final against half of that German team), and after the crap first half Higuain had you'd think he would have brought him on.

Not having Cambiasso and Zanetti really showed i think, there was a distinct lack of quality in that midfield, Macherano was overworked, and Di Maria and Maxi were always too wide to support him.

Could have almost dropped Tevez back and played with Milito Higuian as a pairing with Messi behind them. They needed another target.

Germany are playing like inter, sit back and counter. I guess you can do that when you score and early goal though.

i dont think germany were as dominant as the score shows

it was do or die for argentina and they were all over Germany for the first 10-15mins of the second half, if they of scored it would of been a different result

once 2-0 they tried to send everyone forward and played into the hands of counter attacking german football
