Div 9 C2 Round 04/7/10 - banter and predictions

Here is the round fixtures. Doesnt take a genuis to see FOB and the Grove are the teams to beat.

Big improvers have been the Bullies IMO

MUNNO PARA v PLYMPTON BULLDOGS - MP to find some form at home, will be a hard game, the Bulldogs have proven that they are not the easybeats this year.
BRAHMA LODGE v ISC RAPTORS - Draw here, even sided contest.
ELIZABETH GROVE v FOB - Grove for the upset. IMO, FOB should be in Div 6 with the other clubs who only have one team. I understand the guys like a casual kickabout, but after dominating the past couple years in this Div surely they would like to play against higher quality sides.
ATHELSTONE v ELIZ DOWNS - Downs easily
UNISA v BEOGRAD GENERALS - Youth v Experience, tough one, no offence to UniSA but I think the Generals will get the points.

Agree... FOB have proven that they can smash teams in our Div... i mean they are a good bunch of blokes... dont get me wrong... but have proven that they are better than Div 9 easily!

Maybe it was a SAASL decision?

The fob boys are a very good side but we grove boys very much fancy our chances.Fantastic game last time and sure much of the same this time. Fob would do well in higher div not sure if they would be a force still.

hi didnt know fob could play div 6 cause when i asked what div we can play in saasl only said 9c2 i think over 35s is a good standard for new guys whitch we have 3 . but the new guys r to young so 9c2 we r u in but we only won last year on last game so if thats dominateing your full of ya self .if u think there is a space in div 6 i will look at it we will still play for fun but seasons not over ps the interchange rule is the on;ly way some people will get a run and thats going to give us a chance to rebuild a club

We, Raptors C2 beat FOB twice last year. We lost the championship at Munno Para. The year before, we went undefeated and FOB were not even in Div 9 at all, so I dont thing they have totally dominated Div 9. It seems that the better teams of last year have weaker squads. I know the Raptors squads are not as deep this year with half the C2 squad in the Bs.

We're hoping to shape the ladder with the majority of our remaining games at home.

agree with the comment about having weaker squads.

We fit into that category with several of our better (and goal scoring players) not playing this year. Some have switched clubs (case in point look at Vikings Div undefeated. has several of our players from last year.

We justhavent been able to replace the quality of those guys

Draw 3-3 ... We are fielding a decent team this week .. need to be switched on from the start

Beograd unISA finished 2-2. We should have won when a shot from 2 feet was saved somehow by the unisa keeper. All goals scored in the 1st half. We pressed second half and created another 5 shots on goal that went wide or saved. Great game

GROVE 0 FOB 2 We did not play well today and fob outclassed us in first half . Don"t think we even had a shot. second half was better hitting the post but that was as close as we came. Well done to fob 2 good and showed why they are top.
