they dont even understand the rules yet they see fit to hurl projectiles and racist abuse at their guests
they're not even real soccer fans
any chance Australia has of hosting a World Cup will be destroyed by these inbred idiots

Your point always makes me laugh and is generally made by people who don't get off their arses. They're in south africa watching their country play in a world cup, you're not. That means their bigger australian football fans than you.
They racially abused the ghana fans didn't they?

Re: Embarassing Socceroo supporters behaviour
Firstly the yellow you saw was the Aussies you will see it again tonight against Serbia. There is a huge Aussie support here there were very few Ghana fans but quite a few South Africans all going for Ghana. They also seemed to let people in at halftime as ground filled up. The Green and Gold army were generally far from the area where the bottles were being thrown from. Remember this is the World Cup with plenty of bandwaggoners you can tell when they start with the Aussie Aussie Aussie oi oi oi crap was very disappointing as the support has been very impressive numbers wise at least

Only Jay Walking (and maybe some others who bothered to go) can comment on other aussie fans. who have actually bothered to to support their team.

Re: Embarassing Socceroo supporters behaviour
Jimmy, you are an idiot. How would you know what's happening in South Africa?
I was there and here are some facts.
There are about 400-500 Green and Gold Army Supporters. There are about 2000 Fanatics supporters, 200-300 on the fox sports tour and there are about 4-5 other Aussie tour groups. All up I would say there are around 18K-20K Aussie supporters there.
The bottle throwing was bad and trust me, a lot of people had a go at those that did it. It happened on two seperate sections. An area where Green and Gold Army supporters were sitting and an area behind us were there were Fanatics. Both groups are to blame and maybe 10 bottles in total were thrown. If you think neither group did, then the person that tells you that is lying.
There was a lot of good hearted banter with the Ghanian supporters and they gave as good as they got. There weren't many of them though. Pretty much every South African was supporting Ghana, as they were Germany and Serbia. Didn't hear any racial abuse but I'm one of 35,000 people there. Also didn't hear a report of a fight except for two Aussie guys squaring up to each other. There was two, maybe three arrests but these people were let go before the game even started.

Wasn't that long ago that hardly any fans would travel overseas to support Australia....
Now there are many thousands who want to do it.... so obviously a lot of them are new to the game and don't quite "get it".
The important thing is that soccer's profile has been given a huge boost in Australia.

Completely true, I mean very few aussie fans travelled to world cups in 82, 86, 90, 94, 98 & 02. Must be because these new fans hadn't got into the game yet.

We beat a side ranked 15th an drew with a side ranked 32nd on their home continent.
We beat a better ranked side than you at this tournament.
