Capello must stay, there is actually no one better qualified for the job. As for the Joe Cole comment, he is probably the only player in the England squad with genuine flair and has been for quite some time.Hawkesy wrote:El Capitano wrote:Joe Cole is just making up the numbers.Hawkesy wrote:STILL NO JOE COLE!!
certainly what the muppet capello seems to think. He did really well in qualifying, just struggling at the moment, hopefully he comes good and I get to eat my words but at the moment.
CAPELLO MUST GO!

Them old Liverpool rose-tinted specs still going then?e-football wrote:I thought Milner did OK. Different to Lennon but he deserves to keep his place.
Tough call at CB, slow old Carra or Upson? Upson didn't do enough to get ahead of Carra IMO but Carra has hardly been outstanding.
Terry carried Upson. Gerrard only did OK as he is so good he is wasted at LM, he can offer so much more if allowed. Capello should consider dropping Lamps to accommodate Gerrad in CM (assuming he insists on playing Barry), but he won't.Nice One Cyril wrote:Them old Liverpool rose-tinted specs still going then?e-football wrote:I thought Milner did OK. Upson was good and should keep his spot. Carragher is finished and we all know it apart from Capello and a few biased Pool fans.
The back 4 and James all did fairly well as did Gerrard, and Milner was just about OK but not much to choose between him and Lennon. Defoe wasn't supplied with much of the ball (Rooney doesn't like to pass to another forward) but looked dangerous on the 3 occasions he got close to it near goal.
Rooney looked either unfit or disinterested and, when he did get the ball, tried to do too much. I think having another striker alongside him cramps his style a bit.
Lamps and Barry are the two that really worry me. Both were woeful with Barry especially giving the ball away and playing poor passes on numerous occasions. Joe Cole looked OK when he came on and Heskey just looked like Heskey.
I don't like 442 with Rooney but I bet Capello won't change.
THen Argentina after that . . . . .ozzie owl wrote:A win but still lots of worries, big one against Germany now.
