Great Coverage by SBS,as I have only have free to air at home,(consequently dont know a lot of the British Players ),with replays as well :D

Very Poor attitude and behaviour of a lot of the players - referees can take some of the blame, but these players are suppose to be professional athletes and in some cases role models, particularly in their own country. Why cant they be taught to just except it,and get on with it. :(

Why do so many players have to continously have a saliva discharge ? they spit more times in one game, then I do in a whole season.

Paying a lot of money wont guarantee World Cup success, just need the right person, could be right on our doorstep

It's about time they brought back a 'Gob of the Month' competition.
Now, if you're lucky, you could hack through your ankle in five minutes.

Have to agree again with Blotto. Muscats comments spot on IMO.

What I will remember - Murray saying Pims tactics were science fiction and Foster suggesting players revolt against Pim - funny as. Added to the drama.

Great effort by Oz in the end - to beat Serbia was fantastic.

You obviously dont watch World Cup or EURO qualifiers then??? The only thing Rehagel is guilty of, is not allowing his team to attack as it did do in the qualifiers. If he actually played the same way his team did in those qualifiers, sure they would of opened themselves up alot more at the back, but fuck me, maybe Gekas (who was the highest goal scorer of any European team in the Qualifiers  ) could of scored a few at the World Cup. For some reason, Rehagel played attacking minded qualifying campaigns after his EURO 04 success, but then at the finals of EURO 08 and WC 2010, he went back to the defensive style of game that the players didnt play in the qualifying campaigns. Strange, but thats how it was. As much as his legacy will forever live in Greek sporting History, and as much as we are grateful for that miracle in 2004, the timing was right for him to go :D

Even Wolfram Alpha wouldn't know what to do with that(/those) sentence(s) if it was code.

If I explain it, is it still humour?

I think there's a bigger message here for all of us?

It's still been good fun. Still think the Kiwis remaining unbeaten is the best thing so far.

Suarez.

Specifically, that the maximum penalty in football is...a penalty kick. The rules seeing no distinction between Kewell's and Suarez' actions.

According to ESPN's Sport Science's John Brenkus, the annual rate of a goalkeeper stopping a penalty kick is 22%. Therefore, according to those statistics, Suarez, with a premeditated action (along with Fucile b/c he was going to do exactly the same thing) exchanged a 100% goal, at 90+ minutes, and subsequent red-card for a 78% chance of a goal from the penalty spot. Pretty nice little loophole there to be exploited by any team on the rack in the dying minutes of a game. IMO, bandwagonner or not, the maximum penalty for such a goal-line incident needs to be: Straight goal + red card, no penalty. Football looks stupid right now.

Here it is again because nothing shows with such clarity the intent of an action like a still photograph.

He should get a multiple-game man. But what's done is done and they can only punish the man.

a deliberate handball that stopped a goal v a deliberate handball that stopped a goal. Why would you need a rule to distinguish because one was a little bit more subtle?
