Neill thinks he can do what he wants, he is a first class wanker, the only Socceroo I really cant stand.

You miss Con's point. It would be law if bloody IFAB wasn't such a cosy little cartel. There should be more Brazilians (tell my wife) apparently.Hawkesy wrote:Con wrote:Achtung: Warden of HM Prison OZ(except SA), aka Hawkesy. If Lucas Neill met his captain's responsibilities he should have verbally dragged the central ref over to get the 4th official's version of what he saw when Bresciano got kicked up the muscat by Ghana's Addy. I have seen refs change their decision after consulting assistants....
Achtung: Nice One Cyril et Coachingsoccer.com.au. I'm being pedantic but it's not FIFA with the ultimate decision to change things re divers, video technology, etc. It's I.F.A.B., the International FA Board. Consists of 8 members (Wales, N.Ireland, England &Scotland, and 4 FIFA delegates representing the other 204 nations). 6 out of 8 votes (ie 3/4 majority) are needed to change a law....
How would you see it when they can talk to each other from the other side of the pitch?
Could you please show me the law that gives Neill the right as skipper to "verbally drag anyone over"?
New rule allows any Australian or Greek captain to grab the ref by the verbals and drag him to the touchline.

NO, he's a Millwall legend who I was disappointed to see leave.

Fair point. What is worse is the afl, they don't have a single brazilian or non australian in there?Nice One Cyril wrote:You miss Con's point. really? so why are they not the current world champions then? The other countries play in a tournament where the rule makers don't even play.

prove to me that that tournament is anything more than effectively a kick around in the park and I'll take it seriouslyHawkesy wrote:Loppermann wrote:obvious answer is that no one outside of Australia gives a fuckHawkesy wrote:Fair point. they have to leave out the rule makers because they know they'd smash everyone...

i would hardly call the MCG a park.
More teams took place in the afl world cup than then first 11 fifa world cups finals.
More countries took part in the afl world cup than the first 3 world cups, yet they're not called a "kick around in the park".
Can you prove they would smash everyone?

I'd call the MCG a park when there are more players on the field than there are people in the stands...Hawkesy wrote:Loppermann wrote:prove to me that that tournament is anything more than effectively a kick around in the park and I'll take it seriously

I can't prove a thing, but I'd love to see a bunch of Pacific Islanders smash a bunch of AFL bogans
number of countries has little to do with the size of the event
by that reasoning, the Championship is bigger than the EPL as it has more countries represented in it

Re: referees ruining the world cup
cant blame the refsDOC wrote:after kaka last night, have the referees had their worst world cup ever?
i think the top 10 or so refs in the world should go, not some muppet from guatemala
can blame FIFA
they've made a rod for their own back on several fronts
I think a video review for simulation, with the threat of suspension would change a lot about the way players carry on at this tournament
this seems like one of the worst ever for it so far, but perhaps its the quality of the pictures that have improved to a point that it is so obvious now....given that I think FIFA have the tools to act and put this right

never happen with blatter and platini in charge, elections are soon and hopefully this puts things rightOnionBag wrote:cant blame the refsDOC wrote:after kaka last night, have the referees had their worst world cup ever?

i'm not sure Bin Hamman would be any better given the way his team plays

Re: referees ruining the world cup
oh asia is just as bad and bin hamman has too much sway, pretty much the platini of asia, the gulf gets too much power in asia...

I can't, I guess tickets must be free then. I look forward to all of the free events that I am going to attend because I can't prove how much they cost.Loppermann wrote:how can you prove that they cost money then?
