City vs Metro prems catch up game

Post by nanstar »

Prems City vs Metro game rescheduled tonight (June 22) was postponed again due to FFSA failure to have the pitch marked out.

The ground was payed for by the teams and they were ready to go. you would think this was a simple enough task for FFSA.

Wasn't the game at SAWSA Park? The FFSA women's ground?
Hahaha!!! What a joke!
How can they forget to mark their own pitch???
It's the first time that I hear of a postponement of a postponed game, but FFSA still think they're doing a fine job! Clowns!!!

Me and others drove all the way there to watch and there was no game!
Thanks very much FFSA!
FFSA has to be the worst association of all. School soccer is much better managed!
They are really doing their best to ruin the Premier League I think...but why?
I only hear about ppl wanting to give up, being fed up, hating FFSA...

I think this debacle sums up everything about where Premier league Womens Soccer is at the moment. Would this occur if it was a Men's Super League game and they had to use a neutral ground (eg Santos) for a catchup game? Highly unlikely. Womens football has become nothing more than a minor component of the sport as far as the FFSA is concerned and it appears that it is being treated with the lowest priority.

Put all the players with high aspirations (SASI, W league,State and Development Squads etc ) in boys competitions, and maybe rest should go and talk to the soccer association that is based at Grange.

You wont have the ongoing debate about elite players playing in your competition, they wont be eligible as they will be competing in the FFSA boys competition. All the players playing in the newly formed association, you can still have junior and Senior state sides,I am sure you will find opposition teams interstate to compete with, they might not be officially recognised by FFA, and that wont matter, and it will still be a competitive, but on a more fun and public relations promotional exercise type basis. Players and parents wont be required to make huge committment to their weekly schedule to all the different training schedules,as it wont be so intense, and you may find the retention rate of people involved may improve.
I just figure, like most of you that the current system isnt working,in my opinion has deteriorated since we lost the SAWSA identity where it is treated like a "backroom " ( less important ) competiton. I find it hard to comprehend,we have had an elite training programme in progress for how long now ? and how many Premier League teams do we have ? where have all those players gone ? why ? someone please explain, I didnt do so well at maths, but I know something doesnt quite add up ?
