As for Governing bodies doing what they want...
Our Council recently spent several years and hundreds of hours of community consultation (at the request of the Minister)to determine what size shopping centre should be built at Flagstaff Pines.....the Council gave the recommendations to the Minister and he basically said "fuck it...we'll allow the one that hasn't been recommended."
I think the SAASL made a decision in the interests of the game at Amateur level....both Clubs in question have good facillities and a history of loyalty to their respective Associations....decision made move on..

It's a interesting post though. My thoughts are how would Jets, Adelaide or Salisbury Villa, USC or any other club who started at the bottom of the Sat. comp & had to work there way up, feel if a Top Div.1 Sunday club went straight to Div.2 or straight to Div.1 in the future because they would hammer lower Division clubs...
I'm thinking they wouldn't be happy & why should they!!!
