You serious Kop??? They didnt deal with those crosses at all but rather their goal keeper did. Of course we were going to go wide, when playing against 10 men, you have to tire them out and Greece just pushed the ball around but they wanted to clog up the middle so naturally the only option was to go wide. Our first goal came from a run down the wing which eventually turned into a shot from the right side of the box and the second goal came from the other wing where eventually tziolis hit it from the middle and the toe poke follow through but on both occassions Nigeria were defending with the thought of a cross was going to come in which never did. Also we had plenty of chances from outwide, some the keeper saved and others the delivery was average and never even made the danger zone. I thought Greece played against 10 men very well when you consider the performance we put in v S Korea, we could of easily expected to see nothing from Greece even after the red card but we did, and they came back from 1 nil down to win, for that you have to give some credit, surely???
- Not going for a 3rd goal will prove costly (goal difference)
Dont think its going to matter to be honest, ultimately, the most important game of the tournament we lost and that was the first game, it was always going to be catch up football from there on. Too little too late although qualification to the next round would be nice, im just happy if they finish off the tournament with a decent showing v Argentina regardless of the score. They have paid one team back from the last World Cup debacle of 94, if they hurt like we did from back then, they will try and punish Maradonas men, but fuck i just cant see it
