I agree the ball is crap.
The other thing is the stupid horns, I can't stand them, apparently they create 127 decibels.
The other thing is John Helm the SBS commentator, he is effin useless, he just talks about crap all the time instead of just commentating on the game. Last night he started talking about Killens wife.
Just Effin commentate you Pratt

Re: Jabulani is Ruining my World Cup
You ever heard of "nerves"??? Has it occured to you that the players are a little nervous considering the World Cup is played once every 4 years??? Did you see how nervous the Brazilians were last night to name but 1 "big" team??? Do you understand the concept of not wanting to lose the first group game. Do you also understand that the gap between the best and the rest is slowly closing each world cup and these big teams know that they cannot take anything for granted like in years gone by??? There is many factors of why some crosses havent met their target but if you are telling me that every cross you see in the EPL, Seria A, La Liga etc etc is on target every single game, then you my friend arent watching Football, but rather games in your dreams. Ive seen many perfect crosses in Round 1, and in fact, most goals have come from crosses such as both goals in the Italy-Paraguay game, both goals in the New Zealand-Slovakia game, Brazils first goal, a couple of Germanys goals. Would you like me to continue to make you look and sound stupid??? Seriously dude, get over it mate and enjoy the fucking thing Who needs enemies in Football with supporters like some of you blokespino wrote:That being the case...how can so many crosses be over hit and run out of play??
I watch how many games of football each week...English Premier League, Serie A, Primera, A League and even the local leagues. Yet I haven't seen so many over hit crosses as I have in the last 5 days. Have all of these players become so inept at crossing that they shouldn't be professionals anymore??
If that isn't the case what appears to be the common factor in all of this poor play...oh yeah Jabulani.

have you actually played the game before??, if you have i'm sure you would have played a game or trained with football that you hated and was a hinderance to the ability of players to play good football, this is whats happening here, its so bleedin obvious. the players seem to have very little control once it leave the foot, forwards cant seem to judge the ball to head. how many forwards have actually scored goals, most are coming from defenders or midfielders. no one seems to be able to get any dip on freekicks, its a joke.
Re: Jabulani is Ruining my World Cup
So you are the utmost authority on the world game are you Colossus?? Or is it just your name that makes you sound like someone who knows it all.
If I am not the only person seeing this as a problem maybe, just maybe you are off the mark. That being the case I stand by my comments. No not every cross hits it's target in any game all the time but if you honestly believe that the ball hasn't contributed to the lack of goals as well some of the play in general then you my friend are the one who both looks and sounds stupid.

It was a shot. Maicon's tried it before from that sort of angle and pulled it off.

I agree, the ball is definately making a difference
The reason Germany, and now Chile and Spain were ok with it, is because they kept it ON THE GROUND

This is my biggest problem, it doesnt seem to hold up if a long ball is played and then when it hits the turf it seems to increase in speed.
Fkn ridiculous.

Just out of interest, are they on sale in Aus? Has anyone commenting actually kicked one?
I'm tempted to buy one just to see if all the complaints are true, but I'm so crap these days I probably couldn't tell.

Xabi Alonso last night showed that you can still pass a ball 40+ yards and hit a target. He's so dreamy <3

Forget about the rest of your garbage, when i was playing the game, you were probably still sucking dummies, but ill tell you one thing different between me and you bluey, i would never blame the ball for not being able to control it properly Only amateurs would lay blame on the ballblue moon wrote:COLOSSUS wrote:You ever heard of "nerves"??? Im not off the mark at all, its amateurs like you who would blame the ball instead of blaming the players. These guys are professionals, doesnt matter what ball they use, they train every single day of the week. They eat sleep and shit football and anyone blaming the ball is finding an excuse. The ball hasnt contributed to the lack of goals, you need to understand the game and take everything into consideration before laying blame simply on the ball, pathetic really and yes it makes you look and sound stupid. Think about it

Re: Jabulani is Ruining my World Cup
He isnt the only one Spain had no problems crossing nothing balls into the box and their shooting was so obviously bad that only a peanut would lay blame on the ball. Chiles crossing was world class and could have won by a cricket score if it wasnt for some more inept finishing in front of goals. The only players i have heard complain about it, were some Aussie ones before the World Cup started. Since it started, the only ones complaining are the ones on FN, go figureMr Magoo wrote:Forlan likes it.

Re: Jabulani is Ruining my World Cup
I agree some players' ball-control is crap. Europeans have the power game, South Americans the better technique - and it shows with this new ball..
Just on the ball, have I got the physics right on it's design?
(a) Weight range would have to be within the specifications of the laws of the game;
(b) perfect sphere - nothing wrong with that;
(c) the aerodynamics: is it like the principle of the dimples they designed for golf balls to fly further - ie air pockets in the dimples trap air and then the friction of that trapped layer of nitrogen/oxygen is less than any solid object's surface as the ball flies past other air in the atmosphere?
Is it all down to the thinner atmosphere at altitude and have you basterd forumites noticed things different in games played at sea level like in Cape Town or Port Elizabeth?
Am I totally wrong that FIFA secretly hoped the ball would bamboozle the 'keepers leading to more goals?

Proof or shut the fuck up??? The Greeks however couldnt afford any balls to train with because of the financial crisis and therefor they wouldnt of complained if they were given a Jabulani, but rather, they would of been just happy to be able to practiceDuoRichards wrote:The Greeks wouldn't shut up about it too!
