Santo, Sam and Ed's World Cup Fever

Post by pino »

I have been watching this most nights and have found some of the stuff funny...Ed caverley being Robert Green was amusing.

However my wife (not a football fan) watched it last night and said it was aboslutely pathetic.

Any other thoughts??
First the rotating...then the Dennis Wiseing...now the punking of me on my show. That is it Big boss...No More!

It's been a good watch so far. I don't think Archie Thompson was really a worthwhile guest last night, though... he seemed a little too apathetic about everything. He also seemed to think he was a top bloke and comedic genius.

Tony Martin as a goalkeeper was brilliant.

Occasionally amusing but give me Baddiel & Skinner's Fantasy World Cup any day.

Awkward at the best of times. Mildly amusing and the Rob Green/Tony Martin thing was good.

Having said that, unless you're a football nut, you'd change the channel in an instant. Won't be winning a logie anytime soon but it is good to have something fun like this on during the world cup.

Let me ask you - do you think Paul Dempsey loves himself a bit too much? Good pickup by SBS in my opinion through his presenting/knowledge but just during a few of the chats they've had he comes across as a bit of a grenache.

You know its going to be well and truly faaarked the moment they have to self gratuitously include their own names in the title. I'm sure someone else could come up with something better, even just 'Cup Fever' would do.
