Group E: Netherlands v Denmark
Much anticipation surrounds the introduction of the Netherlands to the fray after some of their scintillating warm-up performances, offering the prospect that they could go one better than their two previous appearances as finalists in 1974 and 1978.
Disappointingly, Arjen Robben is not deemed quite ready to explode on to the stage after his recent hamstring injury but coach Bert van Marwijk has no other problems and Danish coach Morten Olsen, who has injury doubts with Nicklas Bendtner, Jon Dahl Tomasson and Daniel Jensen, admits a draw would be a good result for his side who have been as flat in recent matches as Netherlands have been soaring.

Holland 2 or 3 nil
If we can beat Denmark I'm pretty sure Holland should have no problem

sounds about right.Heaven Up Here wrote:Prediction: 3-2
both teams are capable of scoring, pretty potent attackers.

no shit shirlock lol, but yes i am. hes tall, strong on the ball, and can put the ball in the net. yes he has missed a few sitters for arsenal, but the bloke can score quite a few too.messidona wrote:You wouldn't be referring to Bendtner ??FPV #18 wrote:sounds about right.Heaven Up Here wrote:Prediction: 3-2

Cornthwaite even got involved...well we at least saw his style of "defending" - own goal
Re: Group E: Netherlands v Denmark
as if that was a poor display from the netherlands, not in comparison to other teams. maybe in comparison to their best....
i saw some orgasmic posession play and technique, loved it. the time and space they create makes it look like a walk in the park.
with the addition off Robben and with the dark youngster that came on, Netherlands are a real threat. van persie has to start firing though...

Really, I didn't rate them hugely, they were playing Nigeria and I didn't really see anything amazingly special, in fact with a bit of luck Nigeria could have drawn or even won the game. Germany is the only team I've seen so far that has actually played anything decent, and I think that might have something to do with the fact that the German team got the Jabulani ball ahead of everyone else.Outlaw 2.0 wrote:didn't turn out to be too bad a game however the dutch are going to have to play much better to get close to winning it so far ze germans (although they played australia) and the argies are looking the goods

My first thought it really should have gone down as an Agger goal and it seems it now has.Kitchimo wrote:ha, brilliant! love that the defender didn't stop smiling. hopefully that opens things up a bit.
