Reserves : Vale 3 - 1 MA Hawks
First team : E.Grove 0 - 1 Vale

Hawks a very average team! Good win to the lads today.

Grove look to be a very good side - Heard they were missing 5 or 6 players too... Good luck to them for the rest of the season.

If Hawks are an average team then why was it a good win? :?

Caught a little of the Fulham Vs Vipers (B's) clash. Looked scrappish and then fulham broke away towards the end to seal a 4-2 Victory.

In the A's, Vipers dominated most of the play against Southern Knights. Knights looked to be playing the counter attack for most of the game. 1-0 up to the Vipers then an equaliser from some quite ordinary vipers defending. Eventually Vipers broke into a 2-1 lead after calmly slotting one with about 10 mins to go. Knights keeper was ordinary, don't think he was even a keeper - (no gloves). If only we just had more cracks on goal.

Not a bad day at all for the Vipers being sunday away fixtures and missing many players in both teams..

Bit harsh Miss Tragic , just didn't want to wear gloves today (they didn't work for England's keeper)...We have 2 keepers out with injuries and our current A's keeper was away for the weekend. Like Vipers Knights were struggling to numbers for today's game (hence my inclusion and no photos for today)
At 51 years old ( and carrying a bit to much body mass around ! ) there's a good chance I was going to be somewhat ordinary :( which is more an embarrassment for yourselves than me...didn't even force a save out of me from the penalty Vipers had .....I did touch one onto the bar, a couple around the post ( even saved a curling free kick with my face  ) and denied your team a 3rd in the dying stages.
Although Vipers played better on the day Knights still had many opportunities to put Vipers away.

PS - we'll donate the slab of beer we had waiting for you guys in the Clubrooms to a good cause !

A'S
Bosna 0-5(0-1) Allstars UTD

It could have gone to double figures if the boys would have taken their chances. Bosna had a couple of chances here and there but really they did not play well today.

A's FULHAM 0 - GARDENS 2
Goalscorers - Ebomo, McConnell
Another great performance by Gardens today playing some fantastic football at the moment look forward to the farm next Sunday. Highlight of the day however was the Gweet coming on in the last 2 mins after the supporters were singing GWEEEETO a sound we havent heard for 10 years he soaked up every moment of it.

"Soaked up every moment of it" and bled it for all he could, I definately reckon his efforts will feature in the highlights He was def the oldest player on the pitch but for once not the shortest. Wouldnt have missed it for anything :) :) :)

A's
Salisbury Villa 1- BESA 0

Salisbury Villa understrength but still managed to scrape through with a gutsy win. BESA not a bad side but today showed why they were kicked out of the league under Black Eagles. I know we haven't been angels in the past but today was an absolute disgrace. While most of their players were well behaved their supporters turned the game into a farce. The game was stopped for close to 10 mins when a few words were exchanged between players and spectators, these idiots thought it was acceptable to run over to the other side of the ground and start threatening some of our spectators. A couple of punches got thrown and it got very ugly. The amateur league should have never let these guys back in and have to take a serious look at them. AN ABSOLUTE DISGRACE!!!

scrappy game by florina Struggled to get out if second gear today
but good to get the win goals to hulls,Elliott,Westervelt and paikos
2nd gear? pretty sure you were just under the pump, & thinking it was going to be a walkover. The scoreline doesnt reflect the game.

good results for florina considering both a's & b's had plenty of player's out with saturday work committments.
I love that quote when people say scoreline didn't reflect the game because it always does. what you are trying to say is that for the majority of the game it was close but didn't deserve to lose 4 -0 but did. what the scoreline reflects is that in the end you couldn't score or run out the 90 mins and got beat 4 - 0. Who was under the pump??
