STAG, THE DUKE, THE CASINO

Post by soccernuts »

These are the 3 leading venues to watch the world cup games out and about in Adelaide.STAG,DUKE,CASINO.
All will show every game live aand have drink specials on.

The HWY inn will not be open past there usual working hours, so the 4am games will not be shown at the HWY, but the midnight ones will.

What happens Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights when there is a DJ playing or is the game shown live upstairs?

Can add the Rosie for World cup games with multi-screen tvs.

apparently the german club is hosting australia vs germany. should be a good venue to watch.

although $5 caronas at the stag may seal the deal for me :D

Other beers will certainly be on special Brett I intend on watching several matches there and have already confirmed heini's and super dry will be on special :D

Will have to get back to you on the Carona's though not sure anyone will be able to drive them home after the match would they??

I was living very close to the Mile End pub (Rose Street) many years back and had a broken down Corona parked on the street...the Council impounded my car and sent a notice that it would cost me something like $100 to get it released.
I thought thanks...I was looking to take it to the dump and they saved me the cost and the trouble

That's pretty much what I'll be doing (minus the heater).

I guess to Norweigans this weather is still "warmish".

Reckon I will be doing much the same (but maybe with some company in lieu of "artifical" heating). :D

Will the casino be relaxing its dress codes then? Will we be able to get into these venues with football shirts on?

Also (I'm fairly new here) how busy do you reckon they'll be? Is it wise to rock up early?

Cheers!

Dress code at the Casino... hahahahaha
I work there and they'll let just about anyone in these days, i served someone in track pants and ugg boots the other day. Provided your not being a wanker in front of or to the security guards you'll get in in a football shirt. Last night for the RSA V Mexico had a quite a few people watching it, but you'd have had no problem getting in. Sunday night could be anyones guess though, since mondays a public holiday, it would be busy anyway, but with WC it could be packed, its hard to say, cause its a late start people just drinking and gambling might have stated going home. Im glad I swapped the shift to get out of working, cause if i heard everyone cheer and i couldnt see a screen I would have lost it

are the games being shown on the big screen like in 2006 in marble hall or just up stairs?

Duke will have the game shown on the screens but with out volume while DJ's are playing. Not much lost there tho, with how shit the commentary is and how annoying the horns are.
