GARDENS vs ELIZABETH DOWNS - Sunday 6th June

Post by lefty »

Round 8 Sunday Premier League (2nd vs 3rd) there's been talk on the forum about other big games this week but nothing bigger than arguably the 2 largest clubs with the greatest rivalry currently.

All Parafield senior mens teams will be playing Downs this Sunday at Bradman Road Oval Parafield Gardens starting with;
Div 8 C's - 11.30am KO (8th vs 6th)
Div 10 Over 35's - 12.15pm KO (2nd vs 5th)
Premier League B's - 1.10pm KO (3rd vs 5th)
Premier League A's - 3pm KO (2nd vs 3rd)
Under 7's - half time A's game (they are all winners)

Thanks to Marooned and the Downs for switching the over 35's game to our home ground and bringing the little one's along looking forward to a great family day & some entertaing football at all levels.

Sunday is our sponsors day and we'll also have Mark Butler MP Federal Member for Pt Adelaide & Salisbury Mayor Gillian Aldridge coming along to enjoy the day including many more people no doubt. See you there :D

GO U GARDENS :!: :!: :!:

All kidding aside should be a huge day for Gardens. Our under 7s are pumped and ready for battle. Let me know if you need my reffing services as I am only too pleased to help a fellow club. The relationship between these two clubs has mellowed over the last few years thanks to open communications and goodwill provided by both. And still there is no club we would like to beat more than Gardens. Bring it on Lefty.

Don't worry lefty you'll be hearing it loud & proud on Sunday...

Hopefully the Downs coach will be a bit thicker skinned than some.

Massive game with plenty at stake, can't wait...

Should be a great day out for both clubs, unfortunately won't be there to watch this spectacle.
Will be up the hill on the other side of the Main North Road hoping Southern Knights can halt the Para Hills East steamroller !

Lefty is capatain, coach, waterboy, strip supplier and occasionally goal keeper
(although the 7 he let in against TTG the other week I use the last position very lightly)

Yes I will be suiting up OldRedback just not sure if the coach will start me

And Rodent I certainly wasnt captain at the TTG game someone else took the honours and went against the wind  otherwise the score may have been different. Hopefully wont have to put the gloves on again when big Kev's unavailable as we now have a back up keeper who is also very handy on the park.

Cocko thanks for offering to do the scoreboard on Sunday hope you can reach it if not we'll get you a ladder & dont bring the Jack Russell :!:

I heard the goat is still curled up in the foetal position reliant on counselling and goes into melt down any where near a bag of smarties and the smell of cheap vodka.
