well done campbelltown! first team this season not beaten by birkalla
was it a good game? from the score it looks as if things were very close
To me Campbelltown looked the better side and pressured most of the game, a lot of costly misses and Birks drew level right on the final whistle.........you get that sometimes
Good game to watch and played in good spirit

that's unfortunate, sounds as if they had done enough to win but were caught out right in the dying seconds
will do the boys a world of good though, knowing that they can compete, and control the game, against arguably the best team in the league

which game were you watching--- they had 1 shot and scored 1 goal - the birkalla had a dozen chances each half
good game to watch though- first team this year to give the birkalla a workout

I wasn't at the game, if you read my previous posts you'll see that I enquired about the game and was just commenting based on what I heard

I was impressed with the hard work put in by the Salisbury lads, never gave up even with 10 men. Not sure the ref would have been too entertained with some of the Salisbury mums though. That's why I always leave my missus at home
I went to watch my brother play this morning and unfortunately one of those mums was mine haha. She hasn't got a clue
this is my post from last weeks results. apart from a few players who moved up/moved on at the end of last season, this Ctwon Squad have been together since U12 and have not lost a match in 2 and a bit seasons until today.
well played Para.
i feel sorry for ctown's opponents next week -
well i never would have put this team down to two losses in a row. have the kids that have gone levelled this team to the rest of the teams?

Maybe a slightly arrogant way of looking at things?
Surely it's quite possible that the other teams have developed and recruited well and lifted themselves up to the level that Campbelltown strives for?
Did Campbelltown have a full squad today? Lot's of flu and stuff doing the rounds at the moment?

the cumberland under 16a team that beat west adelaide 8-0 was deffenitely not the same team as the one that lost to enfield or the one that has been losing every week.... if anyone would like me to mention the names of players that were brought down i can....
before anyone bags me i dont mean to say that cumby was cheating in any way, they are are great club and in very important games EVERY CLUB that have players playing in older age groups will drop them down to their age group to help out....
Please let us know which players you are talking about. My knowledge tells me that one of the U16A players helped out the U17A and one U17A helped out for 35min. the U16A's. Show me your cards.
Your comment looks like Cumby brought down players from the U17A against U16A West Adelaide and you could mention the names if someone is interested. All i asked was to mention the names you know which have been brought down in that game.

After only eight rounds someone's picked up 5 yellows already!!??

nah look i dont want to start arguments on here, wont mention any names but im sure you will see some more surprising results from cumberland during the season if they remain close to relegation..... if you want to find out what players you can ask someone from the club how many 16 yr olds play in the under 19s and reserves....
Stupid from the player I hope you mean. When will kids learn that gobbing off at a referee is a sure fire way to earn an early bath?

Yeah that's me
Nice to meet you Toon. I was the one next to you trying to explain to the silly women. Wasting my breath mind you.

Only one on the field and one occasionally as gk ? Another 2 play in 17s I guess. But it is ok to play them in their right age groups especially if there are injuries etc. surely ?
